WOW!!!! I never thought!!!

About a week ago, I posted a message that i was actually HAPPY to see that Anne's death was near. But after watching this episode, I feel so bad for her. Her father and brother played her into loving the king because of greed and now she is gonna die. I also feel bad for all the men that died especially Anne's brother and the musician. Anne's brother (I forgot his name), was a bitch to his wife and karma bit him in the ass, but he didn't deserve to die. And the poor musician, tortured into pieces...so sad. I believe I now dislike King Henry, he blames everything thats wrong with him on his women and they all except for Jane and the Catherine (the last one) makes it out ok. such a baby!!! Does anyone agree with any of this???

He wasn't a nice guy, for sure (or should that be forsooth?).

I have always loved Tudor history and when this show came out I was exited. They do a pretty good job on depicting a lot of the historical facts. Of course they can't go into complete detail. Anne's situation was sad from the very beginning. To hate her is unfair. The truth of the matter is that any woman would have done the same. Perhaps not as well as Anne. She was in a class all her own. The real blame falls on the lack of understanding of medical issues concerning child birth, King Henry himself, royal polatics and the men in Anne's family. Its a shame really. Anne was way ahead of her time. She was strong and determined and I have always admired her. I have also pitied her. She was doing her duty for her family. It was expected of her. Disobedience alone could have killed her in other ways other than the heads mans ax. She would have been disinherited or worst. Also, if the King wanted her (which he did)her family could have been exiled. She was playing a dangerous game.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that Jane did not fare too well in the end as well. She died about a week after giving birth to the only legitemate son he ever had. (sorry for my bad spelling)

true, unfortunately Jane died about a week after child birth but I meant that she faired well because unlike the rest of his wives, he considered her the true one and honored her till his death because she bore him a son. Sorry if that sounded bad.

No, you're right that she did fare better than the rest. Its just a pity that he still kept on going even after her. Although I know why. It was expected that a king always have a consort at his side to bare him sons.
