This is a spolier...I know who the killer is , its.....

..................................................................................................................................

......................................................................................

...........................................................................................

.......................................................................................

its Rene.....Arlene's boyfriend and Jason's friend. He belongs to a fundamentalist church that hates vamps. Also, here's a clue from the show, not the books. Hoyt and Rene knew that Gram was dead even before Jason did! They gave Jason their condolences on his loss, and he didn't even know she was dead. That was a big red flag for me, and made me suspect them immediately. he killed his little sister because she was with a vamp. He killed Maudette and Dawn for the same reason. He kills Sookies Gran because he was waiting for Sookie to return home after the DGD meeting. In the book Jason finds out about his Grandmother and slaps Sookie but, in the show it looks like he chokes her. Bill to the rescue!!! And the plot thickens. Arlene is upset of course and turns to Hoyt for comfort and they both become members of FOTS. And of course thiers another body to be found..dundundun.. in Andy Belfleurs car

Lots of spoilers (at least from the books). Do not read if you don't want to know. There have been a lot of changes so they may not be show spoilers............................................................................................ .......................................................................................................................................................................................A lot of what was said earlier is not really accurate. Another body does show up and its another "friend" of Jason's. Rene is the killer in the books, but its because he's insane, which is why Sookie can't tell it's him. Rene's thoughts are too convoluted. He had killed several people in the surrounding area. Arlene several books later (Dead As A Doornail) starts dating an arson investigator, Dennis Pettibone who is a member of the Fellowship of the Sun, a fundamentalist church that hates vampires. A couple books later (From Dead to Worse) Hoyt starts dating Holly, another waitress at Merlotte's. It is always possible that they got together briefly and I don't remember it. The other body that is found in Andy's car is unrelated and in another book (Living Dead in Dallas).

anita106 is pretty damn right on this point! and that's right I've come to find the show quite different from the books! I prefer the books to some point! By the way I'm still looking for book n°8, if anybody see it online !

You can simply buy From Dead to Worse from amazon.com, it's really not that expensive. Or you can wait until it's out in paperback, which is even cheaper.(Its awesome, ba the way. So much happening, so many revelations and new developments...)
Since when did Hoyt join the Fellowship?I can't remember any such thing from the books, and it wouldn't really fit his character in the Show either...

Spoiler--------------and I'm going to cry if they relate Lafayette's death to these murders, because that would make us miss out so many gorgeous and hilarious Eric-Sookie moments ;_;
