Jesse Dead or Alive? read on

The writers obviously left her story open ended so that they could bring her back if they wanted to. The writing was very strong in the last episode and I think that this may be the final season because it seems like the story is being wrapped up character development wise. However, with the story of Derek and Jesse comes a tragic ending.

I think the only way we will ever see Jesse again is if the fans of the show make a big enough uproar about the exit of her character that the writers sieze the opportunity to bring her back in as another female badass. Though probably not this season, seeing as how we already have Sarah, Cameron, and Weaver. The only problem I see with the Jesse coming back Scenario is that we won't ever get to see Chola again gawddammit! Seriously, the writers need to bring that girl back as a T-808e5208357209hi whatever model they want. It's the only way to solidify the badassness of this show's female cast. Lord knows John Connor is the only gay man in my life right now that I feel the strong urge to slap.

So get out there and make an upheavil about Jesse's unfortunate end. I mean what the hell Derek!? just fucking kill yourself you asshole. gawd, i'm not straight but I'll take her off your hands if that's what you need.

I think as it was such a Jesse-centric episode it was like a swan song for her. I believe she's dead. But that doesn't mean she can't appear in flashbacks/dreams/haunting Derek's memory till he finally puts a gun to his own head! Yeah, Derek should off himself and do us a favour. Did you watch Summer Glau in the Big Bang Theory? It was funny.

I think she is alive both because Derek emphasized that 'WE' follow John Connor. I think the 'John Connor let her go' was a significant line for two reasons: Derek didn't kill her because they follow John Connor whether they agree or not, as humanity rises and falls with him....and because in letting her go John Connor shows that humanity that everyone was always watching for...

I am going to go with her being alive, i think that as hard as Derek is, he was told to let her go and i think he may just have softened enough to let her go. Still a good episode, however i think there is still a lot of development for the characters to do. I mean John is only now it seems getting development, starting to accept whats got to be, and What is going on with Cameron? and is Sarah really trying to mess with her mind? I think lots to do and lots to develop, if we can get them to give us a 3rd season.

I don't think Derek killed her. I think she will be back.
I also don't think it's the last season. As many viewers have, I have been pining for John to be more a man, and even though he's 17 in this show, I think there are many instanced for the struggle between the boy and man. He's obviously making strides as a young man, growning more into himself and the man he will be. but he's still young and is bound to make mistakes. Sarah's role is not over, but I thinks she and Derek are starting to see a return on their investment in him. He's shown us, the audience, the first instance of that in this last episode. I'm happy about that because it's finally time.
I really hope that Fox doesn't give it the axe because this last episode was so powerfully refreshing.

Well... I think she's dead, seeing as in the scene it showed Derek aiming the gun at her and pulling the trigger. Sure they only let us hear the 'click' of the bullet rolling into the barrel of the gun, but after click comes bang.
Two things also, Derek said 'John Conner says let you go... But I'm not John Conner' then when he goes up to the room after that scene John says 'Did you do it? [...] Did you kill her?' Then Derek says 'John Conner let her go.' Which could mean many things. I think he is either saying 'I had to kill her because you let her go.' or he is simply not answering Johns question directly because he did kill her but doesn't want to admit it.

I am going to agree with Naiobi that Derek lets her go because John is their leader, and he is finally recognizing that John is taking charge especially after figuring out the whole thing with Jesse and confronting her on his own.
Also I think that an additional part of the statement "John Conner said let her go" takes some of the guilt of letting Jeese go off of Derek's conscience since he would feel like he did so just because she was his lover. John KNEW THIS and that is why John ordered Derek to let her go; currently he feels guilt over the whole Riley thing which allows him to sympathize with Derek.
Aww our little John is growing up lol

yeah, this, I think, was a real turning-point episode for John and his beginning to be the man John Connor. He said she wasn't treating him like John Baum, she was treating him like John Connor because he IS John Connor. It's like he has been trying to deny it and run away but now he has accepted his life and his role. Now that he has accepted it and taken a more active role in things (i.e., he is the one to have figured it out and dealt with the whole Jesse thing, not Sarah) now Derek sees him as the leader, too. Not just the boy in training anymore.

I don't think he killed her either, he follows John especially now he proved that he isn't as trusting as he had made out, following Reilly on the sly. Plus as tough as Derek is having killed his best friend i still don't think he cud kill her.Seems Johns all growd up sorta, he doesn't need Sarah as much even she didn't suspect anything and she's psycho paranoid, John Baum is definitely gone for gud.Fox better not cancel this show its one of the best on tv and i like lots of others wil be really pissed if there isn't another season.
