Wow

This show is really something. I am seriously addicted. And that is saying a whole lot about this show. Addiction after only seeing the pilot? Crazy. Don't let the science fiction background fool you, this show is all about the human condition and what we consider and make of our chosen realities.

I feel like the message (at least for me) isn't how you react in a strange situation. It's just how you react that matters. The show chronicles the reactions of the crew in a really interesting format.

I bet this show won't last. =[

This show is absolutely amazing for the people who look for drama. But most sci-fi fans would extremely dislike this show because it did have some stupid stuff to make the story interesting. For example no body would go into that room without a helmet. Just doesn't happen in a normal sci fi.
But the show is great from my perspective. I am psychology student and this is all about psychology. Amazing.

I think Virtuality is the first sci-fi series, that doesn't point the scifi-aspect out to be the interesting thing, rather they formed an interesting but still real environment to create a framework for an interesting psychological experiment.
In opposite to "regular" scifi-series, virtuality is not too far away, so we can feel into the situation without beeing bothered too much by the technical aspects.
If the pilot has the same effect as on me on everyone else who watched it, this show is going to run forever.I can't wait to see the next episode. I just fear that the "guy in the VR-System" is going to be the major thing in this season and we're not going to see a solution here soon.Still an amazing series that has a lot of potential. I am definetly going to continue to watch it.
thx to the producers who were brave enough to try something new. With a huge amount of social criticism in it even better.

I agree, this pilot is fantastic, I want to see much more.Initially I didn't like it, none of the characters are particularly likeable and the story didn't seem like it was going anywhere, but after 45 mins or so I was completely hooked. Please please please pick this show up!!!!
By the way the song at the end is "Yell Fire" by Michael Franti

SCIENCE FICTION FAIL!
Come on... how can everyone love this show so much? I admit it kept me watching, but when it was over, I was very disappointed. Where was the science fiction? Where was the science for that matter? I get that their ship is pretty much on autopilot, but couldn't they do something more interesting with their time than spend it in a virtual world? It's just a lame mechanism that gives the writers license to be absolutely inconsistent with the types of situations that crewmen get into.Half the time I felt like they were ripping off 2001 A Space Odessey... Come on... Ship A.I. turns killer? yawn...
The show has many merits, but I don't think it belongs in the sci-fi genre, sorry guys.

i'm pretty sure we all agree with you downstairsb. It's not about the science fiction, it's all about human reactions and relationships.

It was entertaining, I'll give it that, I would be lying if I said it didn't get me, but it didn't get as a sci-fi joint as much as it did as a human psyche joint....lol, yeah who would go into an sas without a helmet... now THAT's a glitch! I agree with downstairsb that it allows the writers to be inconsistent, but I also think there is potential here, I hope that it just doesn't take the whole season to get to the point. I am a little wary of a Heroes do-over, insofar as having a great idea/scenario go into too many directions that weaken the whole... Come to think of it, I think Caprica adresses both, the human psyche and sci-fi... and the pilot for Caprica was great! Virtuality just falls short, too bad, cause I like the cast.
