Reaper is a gem in CW's rapidly degrading shows

Let's be honest. The CW network has some of the sleaziest, morally bankrupt, soap operatic and unrealistic crap out there. Yeah, people go crazy for it. I go crazy for it. But it's fluff. I might think I'll die if it's gone, but much like junk food, once I give it some time I'll be glad its gone. I'll even grow up and get really sick of it. I'll want something with a little fiber. Getting my simile? Reaper is that healthy snack that CW should hold onto.

I mean who doesn't feel a little sick after watching hours of meaningless drama from shows like 90210, Gossip Girl (i love it, but in retrospect it's pretty stupid) and One Tree Hill.

Reaper, despite being based on a really crazy Hell-themed plot, has the most down to earth concepts. Morality versus sinning? Inner turmoil? Strong relationships not based on a complex web of sexual friendcest? Gimme more! I like the mix of light and dark material. I like the fact that there are deeper questions embedded in the comedic, sometimes out-landish entertainment.

Reaper's only problem is that it needs to tighten and jazz up it's outlaw demon assignments and put a temporary gag on Sock (he's only good in small, small doses).

Yea, Supernatural has some deep and interesting concepts too. Why is it the shows based off the craziest backgrounds have the best material? lol

No, no. Can't do it. Smallville gets to be placed in the WTF pile since it jumped the shark. I still love it, but there's no way you can include a show that has strayed so far from it's original concept where their head writers and some main characters walked away. It's still keeping us hooked, but it's lost it's mind.
Supernatural, Fly, and Reaper are still producing story lines, while crazy, still making sense with the original concepts.

Reaper is one of the very few shows i eagerly watch, and one of the few shows where im disappointed because an episode ends.on another note smallville makes me vomit a bit in my mouth.to think that CW will renew smallville breaks my heart.

Reaper is great yes, but CW has better shows (supernatural, smallville ) and i actually like 90210.
Reaper should definantly not be canceled though.

So far, the only CW shows I watch are Reaper, Supernatural and One Tree Hill. I used to watch Gossip Girl - but realized that I cannot really put myself in their shoes. The shows that I catch are the ones where I can actually understand them.
But that's out of the point. Smallville is definitely becoming crappier than it had been since I last watched it.

I think Sock nearly steals the show, Free. He's gifted with comic timing and Sam's character would be dull without his friends.
However, I'm with everyone here - Supernatural is one of the best television series airing, and it's terribly underrated. Then again, I suppose that adds to the appeal - it's not a fad, but a sort of cult show. Like Doctor Who or Star Trek. I think that the fanboy/girl appeal is wonderful.
Reaper has that potential as well. Long let it live. All too often, inventive shows get canceled (RIP Pushing Daisies, Firefly, Wonderfalls).
Hopefully the CW won't let it happen. I hear they've already planned out all of season 3.
