Golden Globes: 'Gravity' Director Alfonso Jokes About His Thick Accent in Acceptance Speech

It was a big night for Gravity director Alfonso Cuaron, who won best director Sunday evening at the 71st annual Golden Globe Awards, and the Mexican filmmaker joked about his thick accent when he went onstage to accept his award.

"This is for the hundreds of people that made this film possible," Cuaron said. "Because of my thick accent, they end up doing what they thought I said, not what I really said."
