'Duck Dynasty' Season 5 premiere ratings down

News and notes from all over TV:- Maybe there is such a thing as bad publicity: "Duck Dynasty" ratings were seriously down for the show's fifth season premiere on Wednesday (Jan. 15). It still snagged a pretty huge 8.5 million viewers at 10 p.m., but it was down a whopping 3.3 million down from last season's premiere, and fell in adults 18-49 as well. The show also came in below its Season 4 average.- Kendrick Sampson has joined FOX's 10-hour event series "Gracepoint." The remake of the U.K.'s "Broadchurch" has cast "The Vampire Diaries" alum as Dean Iverson, who works shifts oystering and busing tables at his uncle's restaurant and saving money with the hopes of going to community college.
