Which is the best Death Scene in Angel or Buffy?

I found the most heart wrenching deaths were Fred's and Wesley's. I sobbed like a baby when Fred died. All I could think was No they just got together how could this happen? And when Wesley died I cried even harder when Illyria asked "do you want me to lie to you now?". Buffy finding Joyce's body was another gut wrencher.

Buffy. Even though I knew she was going to come back. Second for me is Spike. A close third are Fred and Doyle(tied), then Wesley. It was really hard to decide.

Actually Cordelia and Darla are tied with Wesley. And by the way, I mean Buffy's death in "The Gift"(in BTVS), Spike's from "Chosen"(BTVS also), and Darla's in "Lullaby"(from Angel).Since Darla, Buffy, and Spike have all died more than once)=.

I bawled when Fred died too, I think I more bawled about -how- she died, and the suffering she went through, it made me really not like Illyria. When Tara died I cried too >.>

As for actual death scene, I'd have to go with Spike (I also think his death was the most noble of all characters). Second would be Buffy jumping into the ball of mystical energy.
Now for those that tugged on the heartstrings:
Joyce--her death wasn't supernatural or in the line of battle, it was a natural cause (which made it shocking) and sudden, leaving two young girls without a mother
Tara--because it never should have happened like that
Angel--he had just gotten his soul back, yet Buffy was left with no choice
Cordy--it was hard watch her lose control of herself as her body was possessed, used, and basically discarded
Darla--staked herself so her child could be born
Doyle--second most noble death next to Spike
Fred--such a great person who didn't deserve to suffer like that

Sorry this is a long list, but it is so hard to pick just one.

So by "best," do you mean most emotional?

For me it would have to be Anya,it was so sudden and unexpevted and she was WINNING.Then it would be Tara and Joyce ,Tara because no way should she have died and Joyce because of the way she was found and the way buffy reacted!!!1

OMG!! I totally agree...
Fred and Wesley...my eyes have never felt so raw!! The scenes between Fred and Wesley before she dies were just sooooooo sad...he lost her so soon after he had waited for her for so long.
... Fred's death...that was such a shock and then Ilyria shoots up...it was crazzzzzzy.
Wesley!! Why didn't he get to fight too? He died nobly but still... :(

Spike's death (he's my favorite) but then he came back on Angel and added much humor to the show.Tara's-it was so sad and then Willow went all psycho and evil. And Fred's was also really sad.
