Supernatural Movie???

I herd from a few people that there MAY be a movie comin out based on the tv series...I was wondering if this was true or false..I think if they DID make a movie it would be GREAT!!!! as long as they kept the characters and plot the same but i think it may be hard to do this but hey who knows...Well if anyone out there can find out if this is true that would be great

It might be great, but what about future seasons? Would they cancel them because there was a BIG MOVIE coming out?
I wonder if they did a movie on it, would Kripke get his say in it. When would the movie be released? Before the series even ends? Or in the middle of one of the seasons?

I think Kripke always planned for there to be only 5 seasons, so this would be the last

doesn't this happen with all tv shows when they're drawing up to their planned end? (Kripke did plan on five seasons after previous experience in dragging a show on with Buffy) But they are in talks about a sixth season, debates about Sam and Dean being in it though they are talking about doing it with new hunters. They may even do it as an origins thing like the comics although because they centre around John becoming a hunter the major revelations have already become apparent. I hope that it ends with a superb ending this season, as great as movie and further seasons would be I think they should quit while on a massive high like this rather than drag every last drop of life out of it until it is nothing more than a shell of what it once was (smallville and one tree hill spring to mind)

I couldn't agree more with joshy_boi19; Kripke should stick to his plan and follow what he had in mind from the beginning. They should go out this year with a BANG.But then the evil voice in my head starts yabbing: During S3 (which was frankly very disappointing due to writer's strike) I said, end it before it gets dragged out like a vast majority of shows today. But ever since S4, which just blew my mind, I think Kripke does have a sixth GOOD season in him...
The movie? I'd see it in the theatres, sure, but will I like it? I doubt it. Perhaps if it does central around new characters, without having to repeat everything that happened in the seasons, it could be good. The whole idea around Supernatural is still 'new' and 'fresh' so yeah why not.

I would think that Kripke would be very careful, but I do agree season 3 was extremely disappointing (albeit a few of the episodes, Jus in Bello being my personal favourite). I seriously think that they should go ahead with season 6 if they are sure they can do it, but you have to take into account that it would more than likely not include Sam and Dean or just one or the other as season 5 is fast heading to a wrap (take into account theyre are still 17 episodes to go in order to conclude it all) But I have been thinking about the possibility of a movie, to finish it all? Not for theatres (I'm from England so I would have to watch some seriously crap copy or wait an absurdly long time) but instead a made for T.V. movie, like an extra long finale? That would make more sense to me. Kind of like The Final Break with PB except make it relevant to the plot rather than a brand new tale.I also think they should take into account that because of the writier's strike we are technicallyy still missing some episodes (6 if I am not mistaken) so maybe just an extra long season 5? Or just wishful thinking on my part? I don't want it to end, but I do.I also think the overall finale (whenever it is) should be dedicated to Kim Manners, I knwo they dedicated an episode last season but I feel it would be nicer to dedicate the end to him as well, as he worked so hard on the show and never got to see it end.

i agree with joshy to but i also like jet screams idea about taking the boys over seas..maybe not for a full length movie necessarily but it would be cool for an episode to see the boys kickin some foreign monster ass.
and idk bout yall but i loved last weeks episode and where paris hilton got her head chopped off..i just loved that they took it back to normal for a bit..nothing about the Apocalypse or anything..just dean and sam hunting like the good ol days. i was also hoping we might get to see a lil bit of john..not actually him but paris turning into him..but im glad it didnt happen cuz that would totally fuck up dean and sam..
wow..im babbeling.

Well the idea of a movie sounds like it could be really cool, but it could also be heart-breakingly pathetic. And if Jared and Jensen aren't in it, then I'm not seeing it. That goes for any season 6 plans, no Sam and Dean= me not watching. They totally make the show! But I'll be so sad to see Supernatural end so I almost don't mind it being dragged on to the bitter end (yes, I still watch Smallville, even though it went off the deep end a while ago) as long as Jared and Jensen are still in it.

for the people saying it would ruin future seasons the new director of supernatural has already sayed season 5 is the final season so Pray for a movie otherwise there will be no chance of supernatural continuations
