Masuka the skinner??

I think there is a real possibility that Masuka is the skinner.

Firstly his motivation could be that he's pissed at everyone else and wants to prove how much smarter he is than anyone else.

Secondly, I think he knew from the start that Ramones victim wasn't a skinner victim, because he did it himself.

Also, in the books, Dexter thinks that Masuka is also "pretending to be a human". He notices that Masuka has poor social skills and is awkward and he believes this is because he is also harbouring a dark passenger.

The only downside to this is that he would be kind of lame if another member of the miami metro is a serial killer.

Miguel also has alot of reasons that he could be the killer. In the next episode sneak peek we see Miguel is trying to convince dexter that the defense attorney is worthy of being taken out. So perhaps it is Miguel who has found someone like him, and is first only letting dexter take out guilty people, hoping he gets an appetite for murder and will join him in outright murders.

If its Quinn they better provide an interesting reason for it being him, rather than it just being him.

As to Masuka, I cant use the book for hints because the show has already strayed too far, using the author's idea but not attempting to completely copy him. Considering her past history it would really be sad though if Deb fell for Quinn and he turned out to be the one.

I don't think they would make Deb fall for Quinn. that's too cruel.. and i think the poor, sad woman card has been overplayed, that's why she hasn't been having such a tough time this season. As for Masuka being the skinner... possible, but would the directors want to do that after having Dexter, a murderer in the force and the whole Doakes issue? Interesting idea though, I hadn't thought about it at all. I guess I've been focusing more on Dexter's story than the actual case they're trying to solve.

Interesting point of view, though in my honest opinion I don't think Masuka is the skinner. I have a suspicion it's Quinn though, I mean he's so shady and mysterious. And don't you find it weird that Internal Affairs is that interested in him?

i just read theese comments and though i agree that Miguel "sadly" are going to die in the end of the season, i just realized the most optimal person that could be the murder havent even been mentioned in here. What about Anton? He knows who she has talked with and the writers can easily give him a motive. The only reason it would be boring would be the whole "shes with the bad guy again" dilemma.

Good theory. Well justified!
