Amelia starring Hilary Swank, Richard Gere, Ewan McGregor, and Virginia Madsen was written by Ronald Bass and directed by Mira Nair. The film chronicles Amelia Earhart's rise to fame. It also includes and follows the relationship between Amelia and her publisher husband George Putnam as well as her passionate affair with Gene Vidal, father of Gore Vidal. The screenplay was based on Mary S. Lovell's The Sound of Wings and Susan Butler's East to the Dawn. Also starring: Christopher Eccleston and Joe Anderson. Watch the trailer. Astro Boy (Movie) is a computer animated movie based on a highly successful Japanese manga series. Freddie Highmore is the voice of a young robot created by a scientist, Dr. Tenma who is voiced by Nicholas Cage, to fulfill the image of the son he had lost. Unable to fulfill his expectations, he embarks on a journey and joins a group of friends including Cora (Kristen Bell). Along the way he meets a greedy ringmaster of robot gladiators, Ham Egg voiced by Nathan Lane. Also starring: Donald Sutherland, Eugene Levy, Bill Nighy, Madeline Carrol, and Matt Lucas. Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant stars Chris Massoglia as Darren Shan a boy who becomes a vampire after stumbling upon a traveling freak show with his friend Steve (Josh Hutcherson). Led by ringmaster Mr. Tall (Ken Watanabe) the freak show includes a bearded lady (Salma Hayek), a snake boy (Patrick Fugit) and more. Larten Crepsley (John C. Reilly) changes Darren into a vampire and starts a war between the vampires and their counterparts. Also starring: Ray Stevenson, Willem Dafoe, Jessica Carlson, and Jane Krakowski. On April 29, Lions Gate released a brief synopsis of the plot of Saw VI. Details revealed include confirming Agent Peter Strahm's death and Lieutenant Mark Hoffman (Costas Mandylor continuing Jigsaw's work. The FBI is reportedly on Hoffman's tail. This forces him to set up another game. Jigsaw's overall scheme will also be finally understood. The last revealed trap, a "Steam Room," has yet to be expanded on by the producers, but it is said to be a multi-level trap. Recent screens also show Hoffman viewing Strahm's crushed corpse as well as setting up the "Rack" trap from Saw III. Also starring: Tobin Bell, Shawnee Smith, Mark Rolston, and Betty Russell. Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas returns to the screen in Disney Digital 3D. The story follows Halloweentown's Jack Skellington as he tries to take over the Christmas holiday. Jack enlists the help of mischievous trick-or-treaters to kidnap Santa Claus. Jack realizes his mistake and must make things right to restore the Christmas holiday. Marley Shelton plays a gorgeous Chelsea gallerist, Madeleine Gray, whose latest show features an artist (Vinnie Jones) who uses taxidermy and household objects.
