worst episode of glee so far

the spring premiere of glee was by far the worst episode yet. I understand that they couldn't let it be happily ever after yet, but not only did this episode lack the character that glee usually has it lacked the great energy that i love about glee. Where was the emotion and the charisma. Even as i am disappointed with this episode i fully expect glee to get back to its normal self. ps let me know if you think I'm wrong about this episode

I agree, I was sort of...bored. I never had a big interest in finn's character, and now that he doesn't have any baby storyline he doesn't have much going for him. So I wasn't all the pleased with him being the opener. Not enough fun stuff, the singing wasn't all the entertaining, to much adult romance, not enough focus on the teens. Usually I would tune in for some light hearted giggles, but I was just sort of waiting for it to pick up and it didn't. I'll have to wait and see.

yea thats what i was talking about the episode was boring i mean its called glee so you expect to feel gleeful watching it. i do like finns character, but the writers get on my nerves with his character because one minute he acts like the usual football block and the next you think hes finally going become gleek like the rest of the club this episode just left me unenthusiastic but i it also left me wanting more

I didn't like that it seemed like it was going back and forth with the story. finn you need to get to know yourself right after that baby drama. then shoe doesn't take his own advice. then he takes his advice, then they both want a girl... it was just annoying. and if they would have spent a little more time on the song "gives you hell" it would have been amazing. the singing just sounded rushed and thrown in there.

I wasn't really bored with the episode though the multiple plots got confusing halfway through the episode. I can understand that the writers would want to undo all the happy endings so that they can get more conflict but did they have to do that so soon? On the plus side I liked most of the songs (I thought Gives you Hell was good /because/ it didn't sound overproduced) and the way they were mostly relevant to the plot. Also, the character introductions were well-timed though I wished they'd give some supporting character spotlighting. I guess I can't really expect that for a reintroduction episode. I'm expecting gleefulness next episode when they go madonna.

I mean it wasn't an awesome episode and the story lines were a bit slow. I dont think it helped that we'd waited for 4 months for this episode as well cause there were a lot of expectations. I really liked the end (not the singing) when you see Finn trying to fight for her and would have preferred it if Pock and Quinn had some proper lines in the episode and dont get me wrong I usually like the singing but I thought they sang too much this time. Still proud to be a Gleek though!!

I liked it. Well, think of it as a season premiere. It tied up loose ends from the finale, while stirring up some new controversy for the rest of the season to follow. When you watch a tv show's first couple of episodes, or even read the first few chapters of a book, it typically doesn't dive right into the story. There's time that the story has to build.

I agree with Metim86, it's certainly not the best episode but it does set up a good platform for the rest of the season and I think that's what this episode is meant to be. I was a little frustrated with Finn, because after all the baby daddy drama I want to see him morphing into this amazing leading man... but then I realized that Finn is a 16-year-old after all, and it dawns on me what the writers are trying to do with his character. Sure, he's flawed and weak but he's human and a typical teenager after all. He's had a few shining moments and I'm pretty sure before the season ends he will have some more, but he's not going to magically change in a matter of months. Which teenage boy do we know has ever done that? ;p Just like Puck is still, well, Puck. Will's thing with Idina Menzel's character was more disappointing for me since he is an adult after all, but I think we're supposed to see him flawed. And he's been through a lot in the first half, it's also a human reaction to want to fool around after his marriage imploded. Happy to see his evil wife Terry is back tho. Jessalyn Gilsig is such a great actress. And of course, happy to see Sue Sylvester back. All in all, not the best episode but I think it's more a necessary one - to set up stage for the last half of the episode.

This episode confirmed for me the fact that the adults are quickly becoming the only characters on this show worth watching (for me). Rachel and Finn are tiresome, and the new character Jesse is pretty darn irritating. All in all a lackluster return for the show.

I was only a little disappointed but really mainly by the fact that we're back to stage one where Rachel and Finn are in the center of things and the rest of the Glee club fades into the background.
I was enjoying the fact that all the other characters ere beginning to stand in the spotlight, but now it's like they were never really there.
I'm sure that the next episodes will be back to Glee's former glory. This epiosde just set the stage for new developments and new drama. I don't like Jesse, by he way. Itis so predictable that he wuld only use Rachel.
