That was the most convoluted and confusing episode ever. I hated it. Why the green spiky people? That was stupid. Simple is better.

definintely EPIC! i'm so excited for Donna... well, excited & hopeful that she won't "burn up" if she does, gosh this will be a sad one... but still EPIC!! not convoluted or confusing to me. :)

I loved this one. Cheesy, definitely. Convoluted, absolutely. But IMO fucking brilliant nonetheless. Built tension well, interesting things happened, there were characters we could empathize with, intriguing questions were raised, and being a two-parter it ended before RTD's inevitable deus ex machina ending. Although it'd be nice if, for his final episode, he gave the cop-outs a miss. Maybe with the Doctor dying and everything, he won't have to resort to them. Or maybe he'll think the Doctor dying will allow him to get away with more bollocks. We'll see.
