Fringe "A New Day in the Old Town" mistake?

Towards the end of this seasons premiere Peter Bishop follows gunshots to Charlie who is with the nurse's dead body. At the end of the premiere we see Charlie (now apparently the shape-shifter soldier from an alternate universe) putting Charlie (who he seemingly killed while taken on his identity) into the hospital furnace. Learning this we must assume that the shape-shifter hid the real Charlie's body and retrieved the nurse's body to set the scene before Peter arrived. This is quite of feat...leading us to believe that the shape-shifter is capable of moving extremely fast.

What should raise red flags to Peter and Walter is that there is not a second body found for the nurse. If the shape-shifter had been killed as the nurse there should also be a body somewhere for the real nurse (from whom he stole his identity with the three pronged mechanism). I wonder if this will be addressed later on? Knowing Peter and Walter's characters this is a detail that they would not overlook. To me it seems that the writers sacrificed a consistent storyline to create a dramatic ending.

I don't think it's a mistake; the shape-shifter has already killed the nurse, so her real body is where he's killed her, probably upstairs. The persecution takes place in the basement, so it wouldn't make sense that he had killed the nurse there, I bet her corpse is in a closet or something like that. And he does have impressive "abilities" (Charlie shoots him twice and he doesn't care, he just jumps off the window and runs away! So the speed thing is no surprise...)
Personally I think this was an amazing premiere!

hmm personally i do believe that Peter overlooked it, sooner or later, perhaps during the 2nd episode i guess they will find out the truth and capture the shape shifter. The previews of epidsode 2 seems to tell us that Charlie is dead and the current one is the shape shifter :s pity Charlie.

ok I get it, but they have to adress a lot later on...Because when I saw the scene, I thought this is what happened: the shapeshifter puts two bullets into the body of the nurse(to make them believe...), after having incapacited/killed Charlie in some way. He then crushes his face up and starts his shifting process. After that he has to undress Charlie(full suit and all) and since we saw that he doesn't shift with the person's close, he has to put the nurse's clothes back on her, dump Charlie's body and then end up standing the way they found him.The shapeshifter has only got seconds for all of it!All that is assuming that the nurse's body was there because he anticipated needing it...
I love Fringe and all but I hope they have a very good explanation for that.
