True Blood

This show overall is good, but should not be called True Blood. If anyone has read the book series you would know how this series goes nothing like the books.. In my opinion it's like making a remix to a song you change it up a little bit but you don't rewrite the words to the point that it doesn't even match up to the original..

Actually if you had actually read the books you would know that its not actually called true blood its called The Sookie Stackhouse Series...... soo it is different...... and what does it matter anyhow? they take books and turn them into tv shows/movies allllll the time and use the same name... how would this be any different if it were the case?

it is great for tv. just as well they changed the name because it really is nothing like the books, for example the character are not as you imagine from reading the books. I kinda like the books a lot more than the show!!p.s i am not feeling the guy they have picked to play alcide - just sayin!

If I understand you correctly.....and you're saying you don't think it should be named True Blood because the show varies too much from the books--then you make no sense.
In fact in that case, it should keep it's name. There isn't even a book in the series by that title, and as the above comment says, that's not the name of the series either. It's just the brand of the synthetic blood. And since you say you've read the books--why don't you know this?
Plus, it's more catchy. What would be better? The Sookie Stackhouse Show? I think not.

Thats really dumb...if the show were based on the books you would already know what was going to happen and nobody would watch it. Plus if you watch interviews with the writers and producers, you will know that it is only based on some of the key points from the books. Thats why it is called True Blood and not the Sookie Stackhouse series because the writers are creating a different story. I love the books but I also love the fact that I don't know what will happen on the show.
