Who else calls BULL SHIT!!!

I LOVE!!!!!!!! Supernatural but c'mon.

Ancient and powerful demons escape from HELL!!! But a year has passed now and the world seems to be pretty much the same. The writers of the show are obviously on a tight budget, I understand this, but they can at least try. A casual news stories playing in the background can get across the ominous approach of the APOCALYPSE!!!

News stories in which a depiction of a few natural disasters, meteor showers, and plagues there or a random out-of-the-blue war waging between once peaceful nations here would do. News stories of ancient cults making a reemergence new, preaching Armageddon (I'm sure in the Supernatural universe a few of the pagan gods had to have been demons).

Or new religious leaders who perform miracles (feats which the brothers could easily see as demonic in origin) making a debut.

Then a cut away of the brothers watching and deducing from the news stories that the world is falling apart because of the demons they aloud get free.

Honestly, are we really expected to believe all the escaped demons limited themselves to the continent of North America? And that the demons are too STUPID not to possess world leaders? Why are politicians immune from being possessed? "Jus In Bello" was the closest we got to the demons using political agencies to challenge the brothers or control the world.

"Sin City" made it clear that the demons believe human beings are weak and are easily corrupted so a little war shouldn't be to large a feat.

And don't even get me started on "It's The Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester". Only one hundred and something hunters died do to the rising of the witnesses. I assume monsters are located world wide so it would make since that the impact of the spell would be world wide (not merely nation-wide) but it was'nt :(

Anyway, I just wanted to vent so again I ask, who too calls bullshit in this aspect of the show?

I think in a way you're right, but there can be an explanation for this..The probably DID put too much in the game without then being able to bring it forward... becuase it would have been almost impossible to carry that much on in a tv show..(would only be possible in a very high budget movie, I guess..)but I agree that they seem to forget about things they had liberated in the world, and sometimes apocalypse looks less dangerous than it sould be..I think the explanation for this is that we actually see the story from the point of view of 2 boys.. that are important enough to have deamons and angels calling on them, of course..but are still TWO..so they can't see everything that's going on in the world, they only see north america (because they travel by car!!!), they aren't involved in politics.. and we can only see what they can reach.. Does that make some sense?

In all fairness the demons are trying to kill everybody but there first goal is to release satan. And probably something or other to do with sam. And were only seeing it from perspective of two people.

There are other hunters out there as well, so I think it is "okay" for only showing what is going on in North America.
And I think the main thing is to release Lucifer so maybe the demons dont care about politics. I dont think that possessing a politician is one of the seals... It might help to have someone who is important, but maybe the demons think it is enough to do it on their own. Without useing world leaders

Honestly, do you really believe in demons? Like the really can posses people. Most people just can't wrap their brains around it. I think so far it's as realistic as it can get. Case in point, the time when Lilith blew the police station away, the news explained it away as a "gas leak". Face it people refuse to believe. And anyway, if you know a bit more about the writers and the producers, you know this show has nothing to do with like super-hero-saves-the-world nonsense (like Heroes). It has always been, unapologetically about the Winchesters and their relationships. The supernatural and the demons and the apocalypse are just mediums for the writers to explore said relationship.

I guess, but I am still disappointed. Even if the show is the Winchesters and their relationships, with the supernatural, demons and the apocalypse used as mediums for the writers to explore said relationship, I think a world being thrown into chaos due to their failure could be an interesting medium too explore their relationship, no?
Hopefully, they do fail in releasing Lucifer and the world-wide catastrophes will play out in the last 2 seasons. I'm sure the colt will make a debut and it will be used to kill an Angel.
I just wanted to vent. This show is 100% better than Buffy, Angel, or Charmed in which the demons and monsters are not cartoony or depicted as the "average Joe".

Well...there's so much to cover right now in the plot-line that anything more would make it nearly unbearable to watch. Also, Demons are smart enough to do things quietly and too disorganized to combine forces. They need a ringleader, be it Satan or Sam.Personally, I love the show right now and can see few faults in it.Who could write it better?no one here.
