p.s. after reading the novels i am sooo in love with Eric, more then Bill. However in the show the actor they cast as Bill is perfect!! and so handsome. anyone else feel they same?? lol

Hah, Someone beat me.
1) Twilight Saga (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, & Breaking Dawn; YA)
2) The Vampire Shrink (It has a sequel, I just haven't read it yet, and I can't remember the name..harvest something..)
3) Anything Richelle Mead, it's not all vampires but her books are awesome..but not more awesome than Twilight. :)

Maybe try PC Cast's House of Night Series. It's rated for Young adults but really wasn't bad. Or maybe Mellisa De La Cruz's True Blood series.

I too would recommend the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series. Or course there's classic Anne Rice's Interview With the Vampire series and the New Tales of the Vampires series.

I would urge any and all of you into the vampire reading to run out and procure any of the vampire novels by Poppy Z Brite. She has a great voice, writes them really well and has received a lot of favorable attention from more established writers in the genre. Try _Lost Souls_ for a good place to start out with her. Or browse her Web site for a reverse chronological list of all her books:

Try the book "Dark Melody" there is a whole series but it goes along the lines of every vampire has a true soul mate and this just happens to have a soul mate who is human... Pregnant.....being hunted (not by vampires either) AND she is on the verge of dying..... a great book!!!
