I was one of the people who hated season 2 and vowed to never look at another Heroes episode again. But I couldn't resist checking out the season 3 premiere. I'm glad I did.
Most of the annoying stuff about season 2 is gone: Micah, Nikki/Jessica, two many new characters with lame powers, traveling to the past, tribal feuding, etc. Whichever writer put Matt in the middle of nowhere (well, Africa) and cut his scenes down to 30 seconds deserves a raise. I hope he stays there forever.
The new crop of villains are interesting. It looks like this season is setting up to blur the line between the Heroes and the Villains, which means lots of surprises for us. Is Hiro's inability to follow instructions gonna set the chain reaction in motion to destroy the world? Will Peter end up causing more harm than good? Is Sylar really a villain or just a misunderstood mama's boy? Will Mohinder's incessant curiosity turn him into a super-villain?
Anyone who gave up on this show during season 2 should check out the first two hours of season 3. You'll be hooked again!
