Pushing Daisies might be canceled early

The quirky, critically-acclaimed drama "Pushing Daisies," about a pie maker who can revive the dead just can’t seem to catch a break. Its first season was interrupted by the writers’ strike and now its second season’s ratings have been falling weekly (with viewership well below that of last year’s). Sure fans love it and want desperately to save it, but unless all the brouhaha turns into viewers, Ned the pie maker will find himself trying to bring the show back to life.

There are 3 (and a half) problems here...
First, poor PR and marketing. This show isn't getting the mass "pumping" it rightfully deserves! They can make MAKE anything as successful they WANT (we've witnessed that a million times before!). It has all the "ingredients" and brilliants that wreak of success!
Second, this program is for the "thinking person." It's sad to say, folks, but the masses may not be quick-witted enough for such savvy, snappy, programming. Face it people, as there has been a MAJOR decline in creativity which has led to a huge rise in reality shows (no longer a need for good writers = less "over head" = more $$$$ in their pockets -but alas, that's a conversation for another day...) which leads to a decline in demand for quality, mentally-stimulating programming.
Third, it's hard to get a hold of outside the US. I'm an expat living in Switzerland -2 things I'm having a hard time living without: Satellite Radio and Pushing Daisies (in English, please). The Brits were doing an AMAZING job airing it on ITB1 and 2, but now we live close to the boarder of Italy, where you get nothing but lame private schools in English.
3.5, (and this is really so insignificant) but maybe people are having a hard time embracing "Chuck" (Charlotte). They did a poor job of casting her. Super cute, but has the grace of ... well, lets just say remember the scene in "Ghost" when Whoopie Goldberg had just come out of the bank and donated the money to the church? She was upset and angry with Sam for making her get rid of the money and was walking like a troll in her pink dress. THAT's what I think of whenever I see "Chuck" move. And... they can't very well go and replace her. That would be like replacing the family dog because it stinks -you love it, but you don't want it near you because it makes you gag. So what do you do? You bathe it and help it with it's hygiene, or you call the vet and find out what can be done, right?? SOMEONE HAS TO teach that girl how to walk and carry herself like a woman!! Teach her some GRACE! She's so cute otherwise. What a waste!

I wish I could add up to the ratings in the US, but sadly I live in the Philippines and I just watch it via the internet. I like the show, probably they just have poor marketing, maybe we can do something about it, post something on the web and promote it. hehe
