My take on the near future...feel free to add on.

First of all, i read up on the next series. David has confirmed he is starring until 2010. and Chances are Donna isn't coming back (but who knows). Davros IS the creator and commander of the Daleks from the old series.

If you recall something that the Soothsayer says in the episode Fires of Pompeii, he says "doctor, shes coming back". Obviously meaning Rose. (and the rest of her crew)

and "Daughter of Landon, (Donna) theres something on your back".(what does that mean?)

Also by the way River Song looked at Donna, i think we can gather that she dies or chooses to stay behind like Martha did. but again, who knows...

Personally i think River Song knew the doctors real name because they get married in his future. Who else would you tell your real name to?

ORRR

its his daughter from the episode The Doctors Daughter.

at the end she flew away and said she wanted to explore...but then again when she died in that episode she regenerated with the same body, and timelords don't age...so... who knowsss

I do hope that Donna sticks around for a while longer - I have really been enjoying her character. And the "daughter of London, there's something on your back" - such an interesting comment - I still can't figure it out either. Something on her back. Could it be more something she's been hiding? Something from her past perhaps?
I think it's safe to say that River is his wife. She caressed his face, they were called a married couple, etc etc... Also, it couldn't be his daughter [which would be kinda gross anyhow] because she said that they hadn't met yet, and the Doctor obviously has met his daughter.
I don't think they will kill off Donna - I hope not anyway. I think that she will eventually find that man from her digital/dream life, and she may have to sacrifice herself for something, or she will indeed leave the doctor like Martha. But who knows, he may choose to leave her behind like he did so many of his other companions.
I love this season. There have been so many great episodes. I can't wait to see how they finish this season off!! :)

I heard that Donna sacrifices herself to save the world but then the Doctor goes back in time and saves her before she does it. Never mind the whole paradox thing.... But in the end, he wipes her memory and sends her home. At least that's what I've heard...
Personally, I hate River Song and I hope she doesn't show up in the series again. She's just so annoying and it seems that she's always trying to act all clever and mysterious but completely fails at it. And no, I don't just hate her because I believe that the Doctor belongs with Rose...
And I'm so incredibly excited about the return of Davros (and possibly the Time Lords!!!). I always thought that Davros was the greatest threat to the Doctor because the similarity in their geniuses gives you the idea that Davros is what the Doctor would become if he weren't dedicated to the preservation of humanity.
I hope Tennant stays for at least a couple more seasons. He's one of my favorite doctors (along with Tom Baker and Christopher Eccleston) and I don't want the show to take a year off. (I'm pouting...) The new series has had two amazing doctors and I don't want them to ruin it by getting rid of tennant and bringing in some idiot. (Eccleston should have stayed for a lot longer and I would be so much happier...)

I want her back, too, but I also do care about the others...I guess we are going to see River Song again. And why would they take on rose's storyline only in the season finale when they are not going to keep her in the next season.Maybe as a cliffhanger, but little do we know.Infact: the actress Billy Piper is becoming really successful and famous these days, cause her miniseries (Secret Diary's of a Call girl) are sold to the U.S. (HBO, I guess). Maybe she has just no time to star in doctor who...I think it was one of the best episodes so far and I am really looking forward to the next one...

I guess its time to share my far off theory about dr. River Song:
What if she was the future rose using a fake name while she lives a life without the doctor?, but then theres the part where she says they havent met yet, but she could mean that the doctor hasnt met her being back to the real world now.A far off theory, and i dont believe it my self, but just wanted to share the theory :PPeace

"Donna Noble, daughter of London. Theres something on your back."I think that means something is on her back, an event in her life that is very close is what he means. Tying this into Alli commentQuote:"I heard that Donna sacrifices herself to save the world but then the Doctor goes back in time and saves her before she does it."I think he meant that was on back ^^As River Song, I don't really like her. But as for the "He hasn't met me yet" Maybe she's a Time lord as well, and they were married. How else could she know they were going to meet? But then again, why would she be an archaeologist? MAYBE She *knew* the Doctor would be there and so she *pretended* to be an archaeologist. Just my theory. Anyway, the next episode looks really good! It's got Rose in it! She was starting to scare me with the "Your all going to die" stuff. I hope they don't get rid of Donna. She is one of my favorite companions. Anyhoo, can't wait till next weekend! Cheers guys.

I dont think that dr. river song is a time lord, because if i remember correctly the doctor says that time lords have the ability to distinguish other time lords by just looking at them, i believe it was been said when they were looking for The Master.

I also think that Dr. River Song was/will be the doctors whife. She can't be an older Rose 'cus that's just stupid, why not just tell him that? and why become an archaeologist when she works for Torchwood? Nope i don't think that's it. And if she was a Time Lord than the doctor would know right away. And she can't be the daughter becouse they have allready met, and as somebody allready mentioned, that would be creepy.
Episode Turn Left was great, Rose is back :D. But it did feel a little short. Poor Donna spent over 2 years or so in this paralell world and we didn't see that much of it, just little peaces between the time jumps. I would have liked to see maybe a little longer "blocks" from her life but other than that it was great. And they could have made the bug creepier, it looked a little too plastic.

turn left i believe answered alot of questions while raising more. Many theories could come out from the "theres something on your back" from a previous episode, since we found out that reaction was very popular to donna in turn left. This could indacate that she had at some point, with the doctor, chose a different path in which she should not have, aka, another lil bug on her back, which could conclude the series and her departure, were if she chose to go back and "choose her path" again, she could prevent something bad happaning to the doctor in the next episode so he can save the universe, but for her actualy doing that, she will end up dying from something she previously avoided. A lil theory of mine but answers the questions of river songs reaction of respect when she told her name, and rose's reaction in turn left when dona explaines that its not herself that dies, but a different reality of her, even thou that is what has happend, rose still responded with "im sorry", showing that she knows at some point, she will have to die.
im goin to leave some space for everyone else now,lol

Trolloks - I was so confused trying to follow your theory, lol. I think trying to introduce another bug on her back as if she had chosen a different path at another time is just getting too complex and redundant - I think that it's safe to say that the "there's something on your back" issue is closed.
As for River Song's reaction to hearing Donna's name, I think it does suggest that Donna does die at some point - or if not die, then she does something pretty huge and then leaves the doctor - we'll see I guess.
And Rose said 'I'm sorry' because Donna had to die - and then about 4 minutes later she did die - of course you could be right and Donna could be killed off soon - hope not, but we'll see.
