Burn Notice...Kinda repetitive?

When i first started watching burn notice, i loved it. However, now after a season of it, it seems to be somewhat repetative. His relationships with both of his friends seems to be at a somewhat standstill(except for the "breaking up").

The cases that he solves are always interesting to watch, but they seem to have the same theme to them.

But all of that would be fine if it wasn't for his voiceovers. Personally, while i didn't find them fun in the starting, they are just boring. I am talking specifically about when he is making something and has a voiceover on what he is doing or some "spy strategy" that he is using.

i was stoked for the new storyline, getting closer to the people who burned him, but it seems like that was just to keep things exciting at the end of the season. i was disappointed to see that despite the cliff hanger at the end of the first season he fell back into the same humdrum rhythm he was in before.
and his mother is by far the most annoying character in any series on television.

his "girlfriend" is pretty good, but ya, the mother is mindbogglingly annoying
