American Idol: The Final 3 Revealed

Last night's American Idol was almost a nail-biter, except that there wasn't actually an ounce of drama considering the entirely inevitable elimination of Jason Castro. Finally, thank you!

Even with his total lack of effort and clear indications he just didn't care to be there anymore, I could have almost felt a little sad to see him go, but then he was just plain beaming and giggling in his final performance!

So off to greener pastors for Jason... whatever that may be for him. At least America had the sense to vote for the people who cared and especially for Syesha who's really shown to be amazing and full of heart recently. It would have been an outrage, an outrage I say, if she had gone last night, which I think even the biggest Jason Castro fans knew.

Now will it be down to a battle of the Davids as everyone's been expecting or has Syesha been impressive enough to actually get a spot in the final two? Or even the win??

At this point, I have to say her chances at the win are a bit slim, but not impossible by any means. Both Davids are going to have to be as strong, if not stronger, than ever if they don't want her to trump them with her growing popularity and much improved performances.

David Cook seems most likely for the win considering his whole run of amazingness, but doesn't that just about seem true for David Archuleta too? It's a tricky one with those two as it seems to just come down to who's style of singing and personality more viewers like.

Who do you think deserves the win?

You nailed it on the head with your prediction of Jason's downfalll; but who wouldn't have? His performances were so terrible that it took attention away from the fact that there was truly only one star turn that night. That being David C's sparse but inspired rendition of "Baba O'Riley". The other two didn't cut it at all.
Syesha's cover of "Proud Mary" has been done better by drag queens and her second number was just mediocre. Simon would've agreed if not for Paula's bringing Syesha to tears. Just look at his body language prior to the breakdown. He was going to side with Randy.
David A is a dim bulb. Cute and with a voice beyond his years he just isn't bringing any meat to the table. His choices were so boring. "Love Me Tender" may have been sung by the King but it isn't rock and roll and neither is "Stand By Me". Despite his banality history tells us that this is our next American Idol. David C and Syesha are helpless against an army of tweens.

Well, at least Jason Castro had a sense of humor about his horrible performances by laughing at the fact that someone told him that he "shot the tambourine man." (Ryan Seacrest's reaction, on the other hand, left us the pleasure of hearing crickets in the distance...)
We all knew it was time for him to go. Good thing they dragged it out until the end, because there was REALLY some doubt in people's minds. Riiiiight...
Farewell Jason!
