COMPLETED: Enter SideReel's Expedition Africa Prize Pack Giveaway - Featured

This giveaway is now closed. Thanks for your participation and the winner will be notified by email Friday, June 12th.

HISTORY presents the television event of the summer: EXPEDITION AFRICA: STANLEY & LIVINGSTON. Watch the series premiere of Expedition Africa May 31 at 10pm/9c. Twenty miles off the coast of eastern Africa, four modern-day explorers are sailing toward the unknown, the deep interior of Tanzania. They'll travel over 900 miles through African terrain that is as stunning as it is fraught with danger. Using only a compass and basic maps, they will attempt to recapture the spirit of one of the world's most remarkable adventures--journalist Henry Morton Stanley's perilous 1871 journey to find Dr. David Livingstone. Their historic exploration has been captured by one of the premiere storytellers of our time, Mark Burnett. This is not a competition or a game. It's a real-life adventure. Join other fans on Facebook, follow History on Twitter, and visit the official site History: Expedition Africa.

2 Winners will receive an Explorer's Prize Pack featuring:

* History Channel Laptop Backpack

* Expedition Branded 35mm Disposable Camera & Photo Album

* Trek Kit including Binoculars, Flashlight, Compass, Swiss Army Knife and more

To enter to win, comment on this post describing why you're excited to watch Expedition Africa! Check out the preview if you haven't already:

I lov to travel and have been all over Europe and Asia, but I have never stepped on the continent of Africa. It's probably one place I will never get too. I am so excited to see Expidition Africa and live my desire through this show. Looking forward to it.

I love watching travel shows, so this would definitely seem to be up my alley! Not only that, but the fact that they're trying to recreate the hunt for Living stone, which is an interesting story of itself, makes it especially exciting. And of course, Mark Burnett's involvement is simply a cherry on the top. I'm pumped for it!

I can't wait to see this show. My boys love watching shows like man vs. wild. This seems right up that alley, a 900 mile journey through Africa, not knowing what to expect. Im sure the kids and I will be glued to the television every Sunday.

This is a show I'm totally gonna watch because of my passion for Africa. Africa is one place i've always wanted to go but just dont have the chance . I've done countless hours of research about Africa and its many different countries. Now I will get to see some of the terrain, animals and places that I read about. What a great idea!!!

I really think this is going to be a very exciting show. My mother and sister went to Kenya. I was unable to go with them so now I can see what I was missing. They went on safaris and slept in dung shacks w/ the Masai tribes. Wish I could've seen all that they experienced but I think this show will let me see for myself.

I long to travel the world. Also, I don't have a lot of money. That is why I enjoy TV programs that show me other parts of the planet, and that is why I am looking forward to watching Africa. Who knows, the show may inspire me to find the money somehow to see it in person, too.

This show is going to be ridiculous, its not enough that the history channel makes great shows already and its really all that I watch but to see how the world reacts to such an idea is cool. Africa has always interested me and I plan to work there at some point which makes this even cooler, I want to be a doc over there so seeing the nooks and crannies of it is really cool.

This is so awesome! I've learned in high school about Stanley's "courageous and breathtaking" adventure to find Dr. Livingston and it was captivating! I know that even through Stanley was only doing it for the publicity, he was passionate about his journey and his team. This adventurous team shows the capability to work together to survive all 900+ miles of the arduous journey. But the drama, the reality, the danger, and the full exposure of the journey following Stanley's expedition is the hook..
And I bit: hook, line, and sinker.The show looks awesome, and I look forward to the countless tv shows to watch from Expedition Africa!

The first episode of Expedition Africa left me wanting more. I traveled to Tanzania, Africa three years ago and it changed my life. Some of the places where the explorers on the show are going, I went to also. I saw Bagamoyo and learned about the slave trade. I saw the beauty and the wonders of Africa. This show brings me back there-- to my favorite place in the world. That is why I am excited to watch Expedition Africa... it is one of very few ways that makes me feel close to a place that is thousands of miles away.

I am excited to watch this show on the History channel. Both my husband and I love the terrain of Africa and would love to go on a safari there. We love watching an adventure. As a history major I studied about Dr. Livingstone and Henry Morton Stanley's journey and final words ... "Dr. Livingstone. I presume?"
