ABC Picks Up Cougar Town, Modern Family and The Middle - Featured

Cougar Town, Modern Family and The Middle have been picked up for full seasons, reps for the ABC series confirm to

The news of ABC ordering more episodes of the Wednesday night comedy block -- sans Hank -- comes a day after CBS announced the pick ups of The Good Wife and NCIS: Los Angeles.

Modern Family, the Arrested Development-esque series about a dysfunctional family, debuted to 12.7 million viewers. The show's numbers have fallen off from its strong debut (8.46 million), but it continues to dominate the 18-to-49 demographic.

Bill Lawrence and Courteney Cox's Cougar Town kicked with 11.4 million viewers, dropping down to 7.80 million in its latest outing -- higher than its Fox timeslot competitor Glee.

The Middle, starring Patricia Heaton, opened with a modest 8.7 million viewers and pulled 6.78 million in Wednesday night's airing.

i really enjoy Modern Family and Cougartown.. but everytime I see Courtney Coxs character I think of Julia Louis character on The adventures of new Christine with her kooky situations.. but Julia is a lot more convincing.

I thought Modern Family, Cougar Town, AND The Middle were all good shows!I'm pretty sure some people just don't understand The Middle since it's based as TV show from a very busy, stressed mother's point of view.Although I am not a mother myself, the show was pretty funny.
