House's New Team: Is it time to get personal?

Along the House ride, we've gotten to know bits and pieces about the old team and the new team that came along last season.

But this week's episode dug more into the new team's personal lives than before - specifically Taub's marriage.

It seems most House fans don't care much for the new team, so do you care if we dig into their personal lives or would you rather keep it strictly business?

I found the Taub storyline relatively interesting and while I don't dislike the new team, I haven't cared too much about them so far - but bits of their personal lives just might make me care more.

What's your vote? More personal time for the new team or are you on Taub's side of House (and us) leaving the personal out of it?

This episode has me interested now. I suppose I've been waiting for details on them, aside from Number 13 being sick. Have they hinted at what Taub's secret was from his wife? I can't remember..

Taub had an affair with a co-worker (or was it the secretary?), that's why he had to leave his old job. And his wife doesn't know about it, okay I think at the end of the episode, he might have told her.I have to say that I found the details about Taub very interesting. I like him more and more. In the next episodes I'd like to know a little bit more about Kutners background as well.

I wasn't too thrilled with the new team at first. I thought maybe they were just temporary to spice up the show a little bit. I'm all for going more deeply into their lives. It gives them deeper personalities than just House's lackies.

The new team is alright. They do not have the chemistry like the last team. It's not as interesting as before.

Boring, is the least I can say about them. They dont interact with House at all, they are no real characters, they seem to me like extras in a movie. The worst part about is that even Foreman is like a ghost, almost invincible. House needs opponents to get his witty, sarcastic, twisted mind started, who is left, Cuddy ? Who is balancing House out since Cameron AND Wilson left ?
And what about Chase and Cameron, we didnt see anything of them, except a few seconds of Chase, sorry guys doesnt do the trick for me. I really miss his super sexy accent and the interaction with Cameron.
Love the investigator thow - again in this episode, so far, he is my only gleam of hope.
Dont know what direction this show is about to take, but its getting a bit boring, also the fun factor is gone, where is the comedic aspect of the show???
I still find it enjoybable to watch, but somethings gotta happen, this is the wrong turn...

The funny side of the program is House drowning in misery. If House start cracking jokes, laughing at them and throwing us a smile now and then then the essence of the whole program is lost. House is popular cos he is an acerbic miserable sarcastic old bastard. As for me I think that the first 3 episodes were pathetic and the new team are idiots who can't seem to read their lines on queue.

It's so predictable that people would complain about House's new team - anything different, everyone automatically hates.
I like his new team just as much as his previous, and I think season 5 has been great so far, especially episode 3.

I liked the old team, but I prefer the new team. It's odd that you guys feel the new team doesn't have personalities at all, whereas I think the old team was so dependant on House that they showed too little of themselves. The new guys seem to have actual lives outside the hospital (Taub being married, if maybe not for much longer, Thirteen might be bi and Kutner's reasons for crawling are left to be seen). Cameron was trying to get with House, and is now apparently with Chase and Foreman stayed, all inside that hospital. You say the new team doesn't interact with House enough, but I think they (Taub especially) get House's sense of humor better than the old team. Besides, if Thirteen fell for House like Cameron did, you wouldn't like that either, right? I like the new team: they're strange but that makes them likable.

I like they new team but they lack any hot guys i mean they dnt have anyone close to chase :O :P N i do like the fact ur gettin to find out about them more .. it makes them better than just the old teams replacements. P.s I pure like the detective guy a hope he stays on at house but ave heard hes just there n thyre going to give him his own spin off. but am not sure how good it would be :|

How could a detective have a spin off of a medical show? Now that I'd like to see.

I'm unimpressed - I spent most of series 4 hoping House would change his mind / that it was a temporary thing. They lack the chemistry of the old team...
bring back the old team and wilson
ditto on the investigator though - a glimmer of hope on a show that I'm beginning to lose faith in

Thirteen should have been called Constant as she seems to be so alike Cameron, a mirror some might say. I suppose not to confuse us the writers had to keep a constant.Kutner is great tho, same for the other chap althought who cares about his life. In episode 3 when it came to its bits I really few I was watching Law and Order.

No matter what she's like people would say Thirteen's just like Cameron because she's a woman. If her character was really over the top different from Cameron, for example being extremely unreliable and so on, she probably wouldn't get in to med school. Anything less than "a total untrustworthy person" would ressemle Cameron to you guys, regardless of the truth.
