Cancellation Buzz: Will 'The Beautiful Life' Face an Early Axing? - Featured

The CW's The Beautiful Life is but two weeks in, but already, it's looking suspiciously like it may be facing the ax very early in the season.

Not only is it an arguably awful show, but it's doing far worse than the other two CW newbies of the season, Vampire Diaries and Melrose Place (2009). Both of which, by the way, are not only kicking TBL's butt in the ratings, but they both received further episode pick-up today, with no word about TBL.

So with that, here's our SideReel diagnosis!

Cancellation Danger Zone Status:

TBL premiered 9/16, pulling in a very measly 1.5 million viewers (TVFanatic.com Ratings Report: The Beautiful Life Gets Ugly). Then for its second episode 9/23, it found itself at "an embarrassing 1.1 million viewers" ("Modern Family" and "Cougar Town" Debut Big for ABC).

Now that you've got your facts, share your opinions! Do you think TBL deserves to get axed now, given the rest of the season to find its way, or are you loving it enough to start up some campaigning to try to save this newbie?

TBL is ok but no one relates to that show. The acting is left to be desired and the stories are hollow. Yes, trying to cash in by doing a dramatic version of America's next top model or Project Runway is smart, but its hard to relate to the characters, the problems and the stories.

Will 'The Beautiful Life' face an early axing? I hope so...I agree, the attempt to capitalize on the success of ANTM and Project Runway was smart, but unfortunately, the writing is not, neither is it very interesting...coupled with the bad acting, I'd say this show's days are numbered.

I like TBL but it is does suffer with intermittant flashes of vacancy, in many areas. hopefully it will pick up soon...
