The Office 'Employee Transfer': Nashua the Love Snatcher?

*"Employee Transfer" Spoilers Included*

This week's The Office, "Employee Transfer," was a little bit spooky, a lot funny, and a little bit sad.

At the office, we started with a triple Joker threat on Halloween, then a single threat to follow - from Dwight to Andy as Dwight decided to become a Cornell man just to spite Andy. But the biggest threat of all was to Holly and Michael budding romance!

I was worried for Michael and Holly when in last week's episode, corporate's David Wallace saw them kissing, and apparently my worries weren't big enough!

I thought it may cause a little trouble, but it actually led Wallace to transfer Holly back to her previous branch in Nashua, New Hampshire. Their storyline this week followed them as Michael took a personal day to move Holly (along with Darryl and his Dunder Mifflin moving truck), only to see Holly fall apart, then Michael fall apart as they realized this distance was just too much.

So sad! We've just come to love this adorable Holly and Michael relationship and it's being taken away??

What do you think? Will Holly stay in Nashua and fall off the edge of the Scranton world we know and love, or is this just a little hitch in this new romance that will work out including Holly's return to Scranton?

I liked Michael and Holly, but Michael's comment about going back to Jan killed their sparkle for me. Too bad; they were sweet...but the weird awkward energy of the goodbye trip with Daryl and their mutual willingness to let her move and him stay stuck a fork in the relationship. The Office needs to find some relationship storylines other than The Long-Distance Couple/one person moves to another office.

I hope you all don't view this as a spoiler, but judging by the number of episodes that Amy Ryan signed on to guest star in (6) and the number that she has appeared in (count 'em - it's also 6 including last season's finale) (Source: NYMag)...seems like they're done...which I also think is so sad because never before has there been a better match for Michael.Does open back up the door for Toby though like ak10 says. And we can always hold out hope that Ryan will sign on for more episodes.

Ryan (BJ Novak) is one of the writers. It's pretty unlikely he'll quit any time soon, even if his role is smaller.

Ooh, good point about Toby! It would be great if he returned, and got some happiness, especially after his horrible injuries.

@StreetSpirit...We're talking about the actress Amy Ryan, who plays Holly. Not the character of Ryan, played by BJ Novak.

Yeah, Holly is probably gone for good. Which sucks. And Toby is probably coming back, which also sucks. I don't like Toby. He's not that funny.... at all. They could make him better with a bit different writing, but I would prefer if he didn't come back. ._.

Bring Toby back!I don't particularly like his character, but the Toby and Michael scenes are way to funny to ignore.

If they managed to bring Rayan back bcuz Michale needed him much ,I won't be surprised to see Holly coming back again ! they might just sign a new contract with her wut do we know ! she's been lovely and so in sync with Michale :D something i thought would be impossible for anyone to do !
nevertheless, it'd be real exciting to see Toby back,as if Michale didn't hate him enough b4,now he'll be replacing his sweet heart .poor Toby :d
off topic : the confirmation letters in the box down there says "for Adolph" , LOL, cute Pam costume btw :d

I agree that it was sad to see Holly go but, honestly, I wasn't really digging the relationship that much. It was cute but the office already has it's classic couple, and with all the distance between pam and jim right now, Michael and Holly's relationship sort of felt like the ex-boyfriend moving in to take over. I also hope that this can be an opening for toby; it seems perfect but I haven't heard anything about it...yet!
