This week's House episode title, 'Under My Skin' wins the award for being the title that gets under MY skin the most knowing post-episode why that title is clever to the medical case of the dancer losing her skin, ugh! But hey, maybe that crazy (gross) case means House is back on board with off-the-wall unusual cases, in which case, I'll take the creepy crawly feeling of watching and thinking about it. But if the House writers were looking to get back on board with a focus on clever cases, this episode wasn't really the time to make the viewers care with everything else going on with our main characters!
Of course, the episode title applied to everything else going on with House and Wilson, Chase and Cameron, House and Amber, and most importantly, House and Cuddy. House turned to Wilson for help, and when he realized his problems were what he feared - the massive amount of Vicodin finally getting to him - he was like a little puddle of House telling Cuddy he needed her. Now moments like that would be cute if us viewers didn't always have to feel like Cuddy's going to end up getting hurt because of House closing the door again after letting her in.
But while that may happen, this episode could also have opened up once and for all the love we've been waiting for: Huddy! We saw at the end of the episode and had confirmed with the preview for next week that House and Cuddy did sleep together, so could this finally, finally mean they'll figure out if they could be together or not?
While I love the Huddy banter and sexual tension, there have been so many "almost" moments for them that now in Season 5, I think it's finally time for them to decide once and for all if they're going to be together or if they need to forget about those feelings forever.
So what do you think? Could the Huddy post-detox love-making turn into a real relationship? Has House finally gotten to a place in his life emotionally, mentally, and physically where he can admit his need for Cuddy more than his need to push everyone away? And if he is, can Cuddy trust him and love him for who he is? Share your thoughts!
