ABC Cancels Men in Trees

Men in Trees has officially been canceled. Series creator Jenny Bicks confirmed this news with TV Guide, saying that the scheduling for the show really did it in with multiple timeslot changes and two hiatuses.

But never fear, fans - the Men in Trees folks planned for this possibility by shooting an alternative finale that will be added onto the regularly planned finale, so all will be wrapped up nicely for viewers.

I love this show, not in a million years did I think it would be canceled. It has such beautiful story lines. I love the relationship between Marin and Jack. I absolutely love James Tupper (Jack) another reason I look at the series. I absolutely love Cash and the dilemma between him and Marin. There is so much to look forward too. Just when things were going good. When it did not air last week I should have taken a hint. Just when things get going, they just throw you off track.

Oh no! Really? After its long break from showing last year, I was glad to hear that it was finally going to show the rest of last season and then the new one. But now its cancelled after all that??Well at least Marin and Jack are together, but I would have liked to see what would have happened with Annie and Patrick, Buzz and Mai, and Jane and Sam.

It's really too bad that it's been canceled, because the show is just quirky enough without being over the top. All of the characters are interesting and entertaining, and my wife and I always felt like we needed to know what was new in everyones' lives. It didn't help, of course, that ABC moved the show around so much, making it almost impossible to keep up with it. And so another good one bites the dust.

ONCE AGAIN, the "brains" at ABC approved booting another well done, hour long show. There just aren't quirky, quality, comedy/dramas left worth watching. Not everyone is a Desperate Housewives fan, ABC. The characters and story-lines were so entertaining and I looked forward to each episode - when I could find it on the schedule. When I couldn't, I caught up on abc.com. I would like to think that the viewing public could persuade the network to keep it on but it doesn't work that way anymore. Sorry to the writers, actors and fans. Bad decision ABC.

What a disappointment! First Extreme Makeover Home Edition, now Men in Trees - I almost always watch ABC but recently find myself channel surfing to other networks. Really poor decision for ABC/Disney! Bring back Ty and Men in Trees!

THIS IS LIKE MY ALL TIME SHOW. I WORK TWO JOBS SO I TAPE IT, AND WHEN I GET HOME AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS ON THE FIRST THING I DO IS WATCH IT. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT THIS SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELLED. AS FAR AS I AM CONCERN IT IS THE BEST SHOW. I HOOKED ALOT OF PEOPLE TO THIS SHOW. THEY LOVED IT TO. ABC DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. BUT DID THEY EVER. CYNDI FROM GARDNER.

Why do you have to cancel MIT? It is a good show and there are not many good shows left on TV. I didn't know you were looking for votes so I couldn't vote to keep it. Please bring it back. Thank you

Well ABC is going to lose another viewer!! Can you really afford it???? If you get rid of Men in Trees and Home make over which are 2 of the only shows worth watching now a days you will lose viewers. Why is a network so afraid of having good family shows on the air? MIT is the greatest!!!And the only true "reality" show is Home Makeover. I like "good entertainment" and now we wont have them. Do yourselves a favor ABC and please dont disapoint your viewers for once. Thank you

My husband and I love this show. We get excited to see it each week and are so disappointed that the show was cancelled. Just know Marin and Jack had a real thing going added fire to episodes. And we loved the Jane and Sam relationship and their move to NY. And the policewoman - awesome. I hope they reconsider or another channel picks it up. It is one of the samrtest shows airing right now. It makes you think about life, while LOL.

To ABC Executives: Please revisit the decision to cancel Men In Trees, which is a mistake. There are so few programs on TV worth watching. Why don't you want to offer one of them? Isn't that how you generate revenue, from ad sales based on viewers?
