Thursday Ratings: Fringe Improves, FlashForward Takes a Tumble - Featured

Fringe pulled in its highest ratings since the season premiere, according to early Nielsen estimates.

The supernatural Fox procedural pulled in 6.9 million viewers and climbed in the adults 18-to-49-demo. Its lead-in, Bones (9.9 million viewers) was also way up compared to the last several weeks.

Conversely, FlashForward's final episode before a just-announced long hiatus slipped 8 percent in the demo to a new series low and pulled in 7.3 million viewers. ABC rebounded, however, with a two-hour Private Practice, which averaged 9.5 million viewers and helped ABC tie with CBS to win the night.

CBS was led by a typically solid performance from Survivor: Samoa (12.8 million viewers), the night's most-watched show. Repeats of CSI and The Mentalist pulled in 9.9 million viewers and 10.7 million viewers, respectively.

All of the NBC comedies improved, but The Office (8.1 million viewers) was up 11 percent and was the night's highest-rated show in the demo overall.

Geez... Thursday is simply the biggest night of TV ever. Fringe, Bones, The Office, Flash Forward, 30 Rock, The Mentalist.... Too many for one night.
It's sad though than a repeat of the Mentalist tops practicably anything else. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this show, but it was still a repeat!!!
Fringe and The Office should be first: they are HIGHLY under-rated, and WAY better than a couple of dudes in a jungle (but that's my opinion, not a fact!)
