'Yes Man' Tops the Box Office

While the crowds weren't as big as hoped with Mother Nature putting up a battle over the weekend, Jim Carrey's Yes Man opened with $18.2 million, knocking last weekend's topper, The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008) to Number 4.

Will Smith's newly released Seven Pounds made Number 2 with $16 million, and The Tale of Despereaux took Number 3 with $10.5 million.

My bets were on Seven Pounds taking the lead this weekend, but maybe the previews barely hinting at what the film was about caught up with it for its big opening weekend.

What did you think if you caught any of the new flicks this weekend?
