The Office Premiere: Weight Loss Gone Wild!

*Spoilers Included!*

The Office is the best show ever. Nope, no arguing.

I've loved just about every episode of The Office, but I have to say this premiere is one of my new favorites!

Going into this premiere, I really wanted to find out where Jim & Pam stood, what was going on with the Andy/Angela/Dwight love triangle, what was happening with Michael and Holly plus Jan and baby, and also how Dwight's "hazing" of telling Holly Kevin was mentally challenged would play out.

And hooray for some amazing moments having to do with each and every one of these!

I really enjoyed the set up of seeing what happened over the summer as the episode went week by week, working nicely because of the Dunder Mifflin company-wide weight loss challenge.

So we found out quickly that Jim and Pam decided to wait to get engaged since she'd be in New York for her design classes, and they didn't want to spend the first months of their engagement apart (aw)! We found out Michael's still in the stages of getting to know Holly, and faking being Jan's baby-daddy.

We also got one of the funniest, most horribly awkward moments of Office history with Holly yelling at Angela for giving Kevin a hard time about being an idiot and not being able to do the simplest of tasks.

How incredibly terrible for Holly to discover Kevin's not mentally challenged in front of the whole office - and get reprimanded instead by Angela for being offensive about Kevin - ha! I wish Holly had explained Dwight had told her that, but it was hilarious as it was with the freak-out then Holly backing off in embarrassment.

And Angela besides this hysterical incident? Well, she's a bad, bad good girl! Hmm. While Andy was busy being ridiculous dreaming up the perfect wedding, Angela was busy gettin' busy with Dwight in the warehouse after every time Andy made a new wedding suggestion! I loved Angela's explanation of her comforter, fluffy pillows, reading, then lights out at 8:30 being the way she sleeps at night.

But then surprise of surprises - Angela's heart was softened when Andy said he just wanted to spend the rest of his life with her - he didn't care where or how they got married... and then Angela ditched her hook-up with Dwight!

As for Holly and Michael, Michael was "killing it," as Jim described, considering they're perfect for each other, but unfortunately, he's still Michael, perfect match or not. While he was trying so hard to play the friend before asking her out, he thought he'd lost her to her going on a date - but then yea, it didn't work out and Holly had concert tickets she needed a +1 for! Oh and Michael's right there... he offers to buy the tickets from Holly, they're going to go together... No. Michael rips them up. Darn you Michael!

But the very best moment? The understated perfection of... JIM AND PAM GETTING ENGAGED! Hooray!! I was okay after Jim's explanation of their plans, but I loved the way this worked out.

He was so sweet saying he just couldn't wait, and sure it was at a gas station, but it was romantically in the rain and ultimately, pretty perfectly Jim and Pam - a little bit of romance, some laughs, and a lot of love in otherwise unromantic location - just like their relationship. I also loved Jim just smiling, soaking wet, upon his return to the office and not telling anyone.

I absolutely loved all the hilarious and wonderful moments of this premiere episode and cannot wait for more of the brand new Office season!

I really like Amy Ryan, and I think Holly is really sweet, even if she is kinda dorky. The rap with with Holly and Michael was so weird. I also liked "Who's your daddy? Wou don't know who your daddy is!". And Creed giving Kelly the "tapeworm".

Oi- anyone think the relationship with the 'new friend' Pam made in art school, you know the one that had the same humor as jim, will go anywhere 'romantic.' while i realize if it did, it would allow for major character/plot development, i just wouldn't be able to stand it after 4 years, there finally together, and then here comes a new guy . . . am i just overreacting or is there something going on there?

I was curious about that NGrady666! I wonder if since the proposal happened soon after that moment, that means we were supposed to get a little worried for JAM, then see they're more perfect than ever and we have nothing to worry about, or if there still may be a bump in the engagement road for our fav couple.
