The Oscars 2009: Top 10 TV/Movie Crossover Actors, Pt 2 - Featured

Jay Baruchel - Tropic Thunder

Jay Baruchel joins our Oscar nom film crossover actors with plenty of big and small screen representation including TV roles on Numb3rs, Just Legal, The Stones, and Undeclared, and movie roles in some favs beyond Tropic Thunder like Almost Famous, Million Dollar Baby, Knocked Up, Fanboys, and Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist.

Taraji P. Henson - The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button

Taraji P. Henson has received one of the 13 Benjamin Button noms this year for best supporting actress, but she's been plenty busy popping back and forth between the big and the small screen throughout her career! Henson has recently appeared on Eli Stone, Boston Legal, and previously CSI, House, Felicity, and ER. In between all those TV appearances, she's also appeared in Hustle & Flow, The Family That Preys, and a number of other films.

Jeff Garlin - Wall-E

Wall-E, like many an animated film, picked up a few star voices including the always hilarious Jeff Garlin as the voice of Captain McCrea. Garlin is famous for many a role including his TV role on Curb Your Enthusiasm, and he's also popped up on Roseanne, Mad About You, Baywatch,Everybody Loves Raymond, and Arrested Development. His big screen roles have been a'plenty as well as he's appeared in The Rocker, I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With, and Fun with Dick and Jane, to name a few.

Miley Cyrus - Bolt

Another excellent nominated animated film this year, Bolt, included some famous voices like the teen sensation, Miley Cyrus. I don't know if you've heard of a little someone called Hannah Montana, but yep, that would be Miley Cyrus' fame-making TV role that became a movie-crossover all on its own! Cyrus has also taken part in films Big Fish, and The Replacements, plus further TV roles in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and a few other Disney productions.

Jack Black - Kung Fu Panda & Tropic Thunder

Jack Black has many more film appearances than TV, but since he stars in two Oscar nominated films (like his Thunder co-star Robert Downey Jr.), Black has been deemed note-worthy in our list of Oscar crossover actors. Black has most recently made a TV appearance on the big SuperBowl episode of The Office, and has also appeared on Will & Grace, has lent his voice to The Simpsons, starred in a brief HBO series about his band, Tenacious D, and also took part in a few other various comedy shows, and even the 90's drama, Picket Fences. Black has also of course starred in multiple films like High Fidelity, Shallow Hal, King Kong, The Holiday, and Nacho Libre.

So who's your favorite Oscars 2009 crossover actor?

There was also Richard from Lost who played the mayor of Gotham in The Dark Knight, and also Agent Mahone from Prison Break was the bank manager at the start of the movie too.
