Landmark Education refrence in episode 10 season 4

Landmark Education was referenced as a "self improvement pyramid scheme" in the 10th episode of season 4. If you have no idea what landmark education is or the landmark forum please do not let this description become your point of view. I have been involved with landmark for 5 years and it is amazing. if you are curious what it is about please visit www.landmarkeducation.com for more information. i think if the main character would do the forum in the show it would be 1000's of times more engaging than it already is.

Landmark Forum and Education scheme are BRILLIANT... for about a month. Then the 'effect' wear off...I swear it was like being brain washed for 3 days.An EXPENSIVE 3 days at that!

Tried to figure out the website. Doesn't seem like there's much there - at least without paying. The titles of the lessons certainly suggest there's nothing there to learn.

It's a cultish pyramid scheme, that's true.
The whole thing is based off of and basically a renaming of EST which has been repeatedly lambasted for brainwashing its participants.
The three days have you following the schedule of others and expected to do things like pee only when allowed. You are sleep deprived, making you more suggestible, and at the end there are only more things to sign up for and pay for. Those that sign up for the forum are told to spread this joy and the last day has you bring in other people to have a little mini session in order to sign them up. After you have moved through all of the different courses, pouring thousands of dollars into this program, you are offered a place at the next tier of the pyramid to spread the influence and dollar pool of Ernhardt's brainchild.
If you are simple enough to join this program, they deserve your money.

So it's called education, but it looks like it's just a bunch of feel good titles. Is that really all it even claims to be? If it's just a bunch of "good to be a good person" lectures, it would seem you'd have to be pretty dumb to even think it MIGHT be worth time and money. Does it claim any more than that?

Ah - now I get it. Sometimes I get confused between "self-improvement" and "feel-good waste of time".

I have attended the forum a number of times and found it life changing. Not the purpose of my post though. Does anyone know the genesis of this reference in Weeds? Did the writer take the course, etc.? Thought it was kind of cool to hear it mentioned.
