Next Doctor?

I've just found out that David Morrissey is to co-star with david in this years christmas special. The title of the special is the next Doctor. Apparently he is playing a character who believes himself to be a time lord. He also refers to himself as The Doctor. Could be, although nothing official has been said so im taking this with a pinch of salt.

David Morrisey as the doctor? I can see it, but I don't think I would like it. The thing is, more Doctor who fans have only seen him in "Blackpool" (Which starred David Tennant) and probably wont like him due to his character in that. I have to admit, it is a risky choice for the series.Having said that, I've heard so many rumours on it that it is way to hard to pick out one. I doubt that the doctor will regenerate into a woman, or into John Simm, but I really, really want it to be Robert Carlyle or Harry Lloyd (RTD did say somethinf about how he would make a good doctor after he played Baines). After seeing their acting he would be a nice change from 10's geek chic personality and could bring the series in a whole different direction. But, just rumours. I'm actually glad he is regenerating. I mean, He was great is series two, but after that he was well, exactly the same. No new dimensions were added to his character, it was the just the same angsty, in love with Rose (whom I also dislike), hyper doctor than all the fangirls loved. Meh, David is an amazing actor, but he doesn't do it for me in the role of Doctor Who.But anyway, sorry to stray off topic, be yes, those are my dream doctors, Robert Carlyle and Harry Lloyd (He left Robin Hood...I wonder why...;))

I would not like David Morrisey as the Doctor. But I would give him a go.
