What is with American TV?

Why on earth do the boradcasters feel the need to stop and start a series continualy? Chuck has been gone for 6 weeks? they show 1 episode then take another break, what the hell is the point?

In American TV's defense, Chuck was scheduled and is being pulled only because of this Obama press conference that was just recently announced for that Monday time period.I know it's frustrating, but I guess the assumption is that people (in the US) are genuinely concerned (and if they aren't, should be) about the current state of things and the conference thus deserves a prime time slot. It is unfortunately Chuck that suffers because of this.At any rate, it will be back next week.. (unless there's another press conference, har har)

That may be true in the case of Chuck, but usually the networks just do it willy nilly

I understand your disappointment, same thing is happening with Gossip Girl. They stopped around the middle of December and then started back up on January 5. Then they show 3 bloody episodes and cut it off until March 10 or around that time. For 1 whole month, can you believe it, it's clearly ridiculous but hey that's what they do especially around Holidays they are always cutting a bunch of shows off the air. I don't know why maybe they think we'll be celebrating for a whole month, either way it is disappointing.
