I like this even better when it is called "Bones"

The more i see it , the more i feel it, isnt this show a different version of bones, two partners from different occupations, a cocky guy, a straight forward business like female who is excellent at her job??? and last not least the sexual undercurrents between both of them, havent we heard all this before? deja -vu for me atleast/

and this is a lot better. Shows like these are made by their characters and this one is just miles ahead of Bones

I can't agree with you guys. Bones fits more a la Criminal Minds/CSI/Without A Trace those Detective/Forensic shows. I find Castle to be more like a mentalist or psych type show. If you compare shows by character your going to see alot of similarities as writers often use similar archetypes when creating a character.
The example you described : " two partners from different occupations, a cocky guy, a straight forward business like female who is excellent at her job" Also perfectly describes the show "Fringe" but they obviously aren't copies of each other. Stop comparing shows and just enjoy them for what they are.

Honestly, I don't think Caslte will last much longer because it is VERY similar to Bones...only its not as witty and however hard the writers may have tried, the characters don't have the charisma that Brennan and Booth have. I love Nathan Fillion and I think that if it weren't for him, the ratings for the show would be so low that they wouldn't have been able to sign on for a second season. He's the only one in the show that can actually act.
And may I also point out that Brennan is also a famous author. And both Brennan and the chick from Castle have sketchy families. Its similarities like that that are uncanny. And most crime dramas come with a partnership between a male and female; so that's not really a similarity, its just hollywood.

I think Bones is a slightly better show but I think Nathan is a much better "sidekick" than the guy in bones. Nathan has such great charisma and personality , whereas the guy in bones is pretty dry/boring , which worked great for him in Angel as a vampire , but don't like it so much in Bones.
Nathan is da man !

I feel that this may be disingenuous to compare Bones and Castle. Their separate storylines are completely distinguished from each other. Furthermore, the whole style of the two shows are different. Bones is classic and Castle is maybe more literal. My point is that I think both are excellent shows; However, I am liking Castle more because they seem to be headed towards the two actually having an intimate relationship versus Bones's inability to commit. So, for this reason I think I like Castle more than Bones.
