Egyptian Theory!!!!!!!

I thought that was a great finale. It proved most of my theories that I have posted before. Its apparent now that the Jacob from before wasn't even Jacob, at least when the cabin is concerned. If you noticed, the actual Jacob was always the same guy, and gave no indication of being a tricky individual. I think that my egyptian theories are becoming more and more accurate. Not only was the temple covered in egytian heiroglyphics, that statue where the real jacob lives was the statue of Sobek.

This is where egyptian mythology really plays key roles in the plot of Lost!

Sobek is a god with the head of a crocodile and the body of a man. If anyone noticed, Jacob was weaving a tapistry with the Eye of Ra at the top and peaple worshipping him. Sobek is an avatar, a kind of reincarnation of Ra on earth. His main job is to fix the evil things that have been done. He doesn't get directly involved, but he tends to nudge things or set things in motion.

This is what Jacob was doing all through the castaways lives, giving then nudges to bring them to that moment.

This means that probably that nameless bad guy, New John Locke, is probably Set, God of Chaos, Darkness (smoke monster? monster told Ben to do whatever John said).

Of course, Jacob could be horus, and Richard could be Sobek? Who knows, hopefully we'll get some answers this next season.

Interesting...now all we need is an Egyptologist to help out with all this darn hieroglyphs that keep turning up...
Oh and I think Anubis is the figure beside the smoke monster on the tablet that Ben sees.

Well, I just came across this Lost Episode recap by abc.com and they seem to be of the opinion that the statue belongs to the egyptian goddess Tawaret.heres the link

Also, there is an reference that Michael Emerson aka Benjamin Linus did his own research in concluding that the statue is Taweret.
“She’s Taweret, the goddess of childbirth,” Emerson says. “That dovetails in pretty well with our themes, wouldn’t you say?”"
I think Jacob and Mr. Loophole are either Egyptian gods (possibly brothers) or they are in fact God and the Devil playing their game/bet of "is humanity worth it?".
Jacob could be Horus (the son of Sobek), this is why Seth wants to kill him as well.(Being he killed Osiris)
Just a thought..

I was just watching the last episode again and I am beginning to get confused. The statue is shown with an "ankh" in his/her right hand, an "ankh", according to Wiki is "The ankh was the Egyptian hieroglyphic character that read "eternal life", a triliteral sign for the consonants ˁ-n-ḫ. Egyptian gods are often portrayed carrying it by its loop, or bearing one in each hand, arms crossed over their chest. It is also known as the key of life, the key of the Nile, or as crux ansata, Latin for "cross with a handle".I checked the Wiki page for Taweret and she doesnt carry an Ankh!

I guess JJ abrams says that it is supposed to be taweret, but that doesn't really make a whole lot of since with significance in the storyline. She is usually considered to be evil most of the time and sometimes is good and holds back evil. They should have chosen sobek. That would have made much more sense. I also already said that Jacob could be horus, who's father is osiris not sobek, sobek is an avatar of aman ra and not related to horus. I bet the explosion from juliet is what destroyed the statue.
