A Friends movie in the works?

There are rumours circling that after the flop of her series Dirt, Courteney Cox has been eager to bring back the magic of Friends on the big screen! Cox's former co-stars Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer are said to be just as keen to do a movie version of the unbelievably successful TV series of Friends especially after seeing how well the Sex and the City movie has done. However Jennifer Aniston is reportedly unwilling to revisit her role as Rachel Green. Aniston believes that doing so will damage the progress she has made as a serious actor since Friends. I'm hoping that Jennifer will be persuaded by her fellow Friends stars and we will all be able to enjoy a big screen adaption of the hit series!

Jennifer Aniston = serious actor? She has kind of made a bunch of flops since Friends...(maybe Marley & Me will be her saving grace though).Normally I would be super skeptical about this, but Sex and the City proved that it can be done well, I guess, and Friends certainly would have the fanbase to back it up...

I dont think this is true tho... it would be fantastic if Friends had to make a movie, but I dont think they'd like to copy the actors from Sex and the City, cos people would just think of them as copy cats.

I've never actually thought about a FRIENDS movie but I've always thought about an 11th season but now I'm kinda leaning towards a FRIEND movie. Anyways I don't get why Jennifer Aniston wouldn't want to do a movie because it seems pretty great to me to be part in something like that. You know it's like after the first year, they would all be like a family and i think that after 10 years, they would all be willing to take part in a movie but I guess not.

I don't know...if they mean a tv movie that would be great but a movie that we would watch in theatres....donno....wouldn't it be awkward without the laughs? Personally I thoght that satc the movie kinda ruined the show transforming it in a low level comedy...but that's my opinion. Though, if it's a cinema movie, we would be the laughs! So it may work, and for the dvd they should record the laughs of the viewers!
