Chuck and Vanessa

I was so excited to see Remains of the J because I knew that Blair and Nate were getting back together and I couldn't wait to see Chuck's jealousy and attempt to win Blair back. But what I got was more than I bargained for. I really didn't have to see Chuck waking up to see Vanessa doing up her dress..the same dress from the night before..implying that they had sex.

I had faith in the writers..I really thought that they were building Chair up to be this epic romance but honestly, they've just dug themselves into a grave and I can't see how they're going to get out. I can not believe that they have screwed my favourite couple on the show; I honestly felt like when I saw the last 2 minutes of the episode. What happened to Blair and Chuck's LOVE? Blair seemed pretty much over Chuck and completely smitten with Nate (but I'm not complaining, I like Nair); as for Chuck...could he be any less predictable? Someone who moves on from girl to girl so easily can't be in love with another girl. Someone who loves a girl wouldn't expend all their energy on trying to make them jealous by sleeping with the SCUM of the show. I hate Vanessa so much right now. She has a thing for ruining the best couples on the show, doesn't she? For such a minor brain-numbingly dull and boring character, she can be a real pain in the ass. I wish she'd just get stabbed on the subway or something.

Anyone else share my views?

No, I like Vanessa. Scum of the show? A bit harsh isn't it? She's smart, really pretty, down to earth and other than her sometimes random revenge schemes, she's also real nice.
Why Nate's mad at her I don't know.. yeah she walked out on him but he was the one that blew off their trip, so really he should be the one to be dumped, but whatever. I too wanted Chuck/Blair to get together but to be honest, I think I like the chase more than the actual thing. I can't really picture them being actual boyfriend and girlfriend, I just like the games.

"get stabbed on the subway or something" is actually a great idea, the writers should take that into consideration coz whatever V does she's just a useless character..

I hate Vanessa too. It seems like she is a flat character who, when she was with Nate, always over-reacted instead of talking with him. I wish that she would leave the show. I am disappointed about Chuck too, but I hope that he doesn't develop real feelings for Vanessa. Yuck.

Ok. I'll justify myself. I've hated Vanessa from the very beginning. She came in Season One, and tried screwing Dan and Serena over by getting with Dan, when clearly he was over her and with someone ten times as stunning as she is. I feel like her character in the show is very forced and just there for some extra decoration. She annoys me because she hangs out with these UES school kids when she doesn't even go to their school. She is very judgmental of them and criticizes them for doing things she consider unmoral and unethical. But what she did in the last episode was do a complete 180 turn and go against everything she believed in. She's a hypocrite and bloody annoying on top of that.

wow. vanessa has always been one of my favorites, and i loved her and nate together. but i'd have to say that nate is the one who is quick to go from girl to girl, not chuck. chuck has been so obviously devoted to blair this entire time, it was only when she firmly told him it was over that he went to someone else. while nate has gone from v to j to v to blair. he's a little man whore. but i still love him.:)

see I think that it gave vanessa's character more depth, has made her more interesting. Up till now shes been a bit of a boring drag on the show, but things just got way more interesting :). It was a great move from the writers.
