Man, This has been the time of discovering new shows for me, I guess with the lack of new episodes from shows i like, and the surplus in free time because of spring break and depression, i have been on the lookout for new good things. So after watching The Mentalist I have now discovered the show Burn Notice. Its all about this ex-spy who is stuck in Miami and starts helping people with his ex-girlfriend and old spy friend while he is trying to figure out why he got fired and get back in the game.
The premise might seem kind of shaky but Jeffrey Donovan does an excellent job playing Michael Weston, I am a strong believer that it's the little things that make a character and things like his obsession with yogurt, or his lack of commitment to anything are perfectly played out so not to be too over the top but still to be there. Also the different characters they play are pretty awesome. At first all the helping people seemed kind of set up (oh my brother happens to need help for this, oh you happen to have heard from the one other guy i helped about me) but it gets more plausible as time goes on, and I especially like how he makes actual progress on his own case throughout the episodes (I have only watched most of the first season). the mystery gets deeper but they're moving forward.
Also I can't wait to see Tricia Helfer's episodes since I am a huge fan of her on BSG.
