heels, srsly?

I watch the show [obviously] and, yes, I enjoy it. I also understand the limitations involved in television production, especially the budget, and with that in mind, the show does well enough for itself. It's much harder for fantasy and sci-fi shows to work with financial restraints. And, of course, being a television show it's going to be riddled with inaccuracies (I thought it was rather clever to base the show on Arthurian legend which has so many fantastic versions that to truly enjoy them all one must be prepared to suspend disbelief), but some of Morgana's outfits are just ridiculous. I understand the need to make her sexy, and I'll give you the haltered dress, or whatever it was. But in episode 12, heels? Really?

Arthurian legend, as debated as it is, generally focuses on the late 5th to early 6th century. Though evidence of raised shoes which elevated both heel and toe dates to the 1400s, high-heeled shoes did not appear until the 16th century, thus their appearance in this tale is about ten centuries too early (and that's being conservative if you take style into account).

*lol* Noticed that too. Besides the time-thing, there's one more rather inaccurate about that outfit: no woman in her right mind would wear these shoes in that street with all the rocks and stones ^^

I thought the point though was to try and sort of modernize the legend... so they could have fun with the costumes and make the show more unique in their own way. They are basically recreating the story with a twist so I say why not heels?! Who is it hurting?

I agree on all of the above points...not historically accurate, or whatever, but as you said, this is one of those shows, for which, you just have to suspend disbelief and enjoy the story.
