the Casting

looking at Pushign Daisies I always have to just sit for a second in sheer awe of the wonderfully placed castign for the show, but as of late as I thought about Chuck, much as I adore her, I don't think that she's AS irreplaceabloe as the other characters... I can't imagine the show w/o Lee Pace [Ned], Kristin Chenoweth [Olive], and etc.

but Chuck, regardless of how great her chemistry with Ned is, just isn't a character that I would place on the same caliber as the others, is that odd?

Interesting! I love Chuck and think she's excellent in the character. I don't know if she's utterly irreplaceable, but I think she as an actress adds a ton to the whimsical nature of the show. She, as a character and actress, are the perfect mix of young and innocent, slightly troubled, and adult enough to have those feelings of love for Ned that are causing the conflict of them liking each other and not being able to touch. I like her a lot, and do agree that Ned and Olive are perfect for their characters, but I don't think I could do without Chuck as she is!

Okay, I just say I disagree with on so many levels...okay not many, but at least a couple. First, Anna is totally the perfect one to play Chuck, who reminds me of Zooey Deschanel from The Happening, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, etc. But I think Anna a better fit. Second, I could go with out Kristin Chenoweth [Olive], only little bit...I think it her voice. It just a little to high pitched for me. It makes my ears ring, seriously.
