emmy worthy?

With the Emmys just around the corner, albeit not sure what corner myself seeing as i tend to avoid them like the plague and just skim through the results the next day, I was thinking about Grey's Anatomy and the supposed "snubbing" that went on this year and i have to ask: is it really a snub?

I mean, yes, the show is fun to watch while gorging in a pint of your favorite ice cream and it is fun and naughty enough to keep your attention [despite last year's, in my opinion, catastrophically dull and serious season] but what makes it Emmy worthy? can you really call this show the best on TV?... with series such as dirty sexy money, pushing daisies, Dexter, house, bones [and that's just naming MY personal favorites, there are so many other brilliant programs] what makes Grey's stand out among the others? it's fun, but I just don't get what's GREAT about it.

so, in a round about way, that brings me back to my question my question: do you think it deserves all the Emmy nods it gets, and if so why, because I'm absolutely perplexed by it.

Cosmo, I think you are correct in this assessment. Grey's Anatomy's snub is not a snub!
The show is enjoyable, and when Shondra is on her game, it's very good. But, to give a nod to the most over quoted phrase of this year, Seriously, Grey's did not deserve an Emmy nom.
It pains me as if I had appendicitis to say this. Seriously (there it is again) I love the characters, the humor, the drama, and the dysfunction. But has Grey's past it's prime? I think...maybe. I completely hope that the actors are capable of better performances. However, i surmise that the distraction of Private Practice had Shondra's focus rather than Grey's. And that p's me off so much.
Come back Shondra! Come back to Grey's and re-elevate it to the grandeur that it previously enjoyed. I miss it, I crave it. For heavan's sake, bring Burke back it that's what it takes, but focus for God's sake! I'm pleading to you...

Personaly I think House deserves to win, a genious series I just love.
Regarding to your question, yes, I think Grey's deserves the nomination. Because it's so enjoyable and because of all those little things that make it so great, not perfect and not the best of all but deffenetly one of the shows that are fun and interesting to watch (seriously), adding the wonderful cast, they're all such talented actors.

Honestly I think the problem with season 4 was mostly that it was an in between season. Nothing much happened but there was alot of character development which Im sure is going to be the foundation for the next season.(Callie and Hahn. Izzie having to go it alone. George and Lexie. And of course Derek and Meridith.) I comlpetely agree it was not Emmy worthy and at times it was dull but when I think about how everything came together in the season fanale I have to say Im looking forward to a very good season 5!
I would like to foraly appologise for my spelling. I just cant be bothered to spell check these days!
