Episode Recap: "Heaven and Hell"

It was a battle of angels versus demons during the final episode of Supernatural for 2008. Castiel and Uriel on one side, Alistair and his posse on the other. Stuck in the middle were Sam, Dean, Anna and Ruby. One would "fall," three would survive.

Once again, I'm curious to find out how everyone reacted to this episode. "Heaven and Hell" featured lots of angels and demons, of course. It even featured a fallen angel. The women were as much a part of this episode as the men, something that would normally bother me. But it didn't this time around. I actually enjoyed Ruby. And I loved Anna's dynamic with Dean.

I actually dont like Anna that much. And I really hated the way she talked about the angels and heaven and god... If even heaven sucks that much they all should die anyway, it doesnt seem to matter... Too negative for my taste.

Hey Bella, I totally agree with you on Dean's part, especially after he's confession on a few things. Like for example, he said to Anna, "I can relate." and after the Angels found them, he said sorry again.
And the final confession that kinda broke my heart to see him cry like that. Although I always look forward to to the confession on Hell. And Is been a while since I had felt the heart wrenching feeling from watch TV series.
But I don't agree on some scenes, such as the Anna and Dean dynamic parts, as much as Ruby and Sam's. To me should be more of a on touch and go scene. It seems to be me is getting a bit graphic. Especially when they're in between something that is so huge. Although I know our boys need some action on that too. Is just not the right episode to have it.

I totally agree. I think the whole sex idee took some of the excitement out of the episode.
I did love the part in wich Dean said that he never thought they'd have an angel and a deamon in the back seat together. I must agree that it seemd verry unrealistic but that just made it more fitting. Don't you think.
And loved the last confession of Dean. Couldnt have been better. I watched it three times so far and it touches me more every time. Awkward on Sams part though. What do you say to a crying Dean...?
