Spoilers Alert: Sylar's Mother?

This is hard to say. On the one hand it's been hinted that Angela was unfaithful to her husband Arthur since she had an affair with Kaito Nakamura. In fact, my twin thinks Sylar could have been the love child of Kaito and Angela but I think that would be a really low blow to the show for going with cliche elements. On the other hand, could Angela simply be manipulating Sylar?

Remember earlier on in the show when Sylar once said something along the lines of feeling different from his family, and wishing that he was adopted? If you access the company files on the primatech website, you can see how in their tracker files they have psychological profiles on each person as well.

Is it possible that in Sylar's case file there must have been a mention of how he wished he was adopted? Angela could have easily gotten her hands on the file and decided to manipulate Sylar by telling him the things he wanted to hear so he could truly feel like he was unique. It's a nice way to manipulate someone to do your biding.

If they're ever looking for someone to play Cherie Blair, then she is it!I just don't like the Sylar characterisation - too black and white. A good villain has to have shades of grey so that you can just about forgive them, but they're playing Sylar as just evil.

Firstly, perhaps you could keep spoilers out of the titles, please. Some of us are international and/or haven't gotten to the newest episode, yet we see spoiler headings like this pop up. Simply 'Sylar's Mom (spoilers)' would have done the trick, then readers can choose to read or not.
I think they are working toward shades of grey for Sylar with this family thing. I think it's an interesting twist to have her as the mother. Perhaps they will make Sylar the oldest brother? Given away from a teen preg? We'll see.

Im up to the thrid episode, and when you have watched it, you will see that they are attempting something, so it could be the Angela Petrelli is or isn't Sylars mother. But its most likely they she isn't. Heroes is too good for something so predictable and cliche'd

It's nice to see that most of us here is in agreement about how much in bad taste that move was on part of the Heroes crew.
Still, they must have something big inteded if they planned to use such a tacky element in their show?
Perhaps an unexpected twist? It could just be a red herring to distract us from something else entirely, which hopefully is the case. Otherwise the show is sailing on unsteady waters.

It can't be a distraction or be untrue because Angela gave Sylar a woman so he could have her power which would let him see back into the past of any person or thing he touched so Sylar could have easily found out the truth just by touching her. So it's likely she really is his mother and i doubt they would play around with a thing as big as that....They needed something big to happen so i though it was a good idea, it brings something new and totally different into the plot.
