When Eureka first came out, I was enthralled. It was a rollercoaster for the brain. Then came the writers' strike and I nearly cried. And then (yay) it was back but not so much... It seemed like a 'gadget and/or phenomena of the week' kinda thing. Mildly entertaining, but none of the episodes made me sit back and say, "Woah!" afterward. I had feared that the money grubbing, corporate (plural expletive deleted) had destroyed the fabulous synergy that was the Eureka writing staff. I now pray to the Godz of Technology that this was no mere fluke.
And really, given that nasty glitch, SciFy should really mark this episode as the beginning of the series, like a reboot, when enacting their silly 'no more than 5 seasons' rule.
