Fairy Tail, Sasameki Koto Added to Crunchyroll's Fall Lineup - Featured

Crunchyroll's simulcast lineup continues to expand, as the company announced its streaming rights to fantasy adventure Fairy Tail and the girl-on-girl romance/slice of life anime Sasameki Koto today.

Fairy Tail, which has drawn frequent comparisons to One Piece (both One Piece creator Oda Eiichirou and Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima got their starts as assistants to famed manga artist Nobuhiro Watsuki, who is best known for Rurouni Kenshin), is described as "one of the most anticipated new action/shonen titles this year". Fans of Naruto may want to take note, as Fairy Tail is essentially Naruto without ninjas, but with wizards.

Meanwhile, the acquisition of Sasameki Koto aims squarely at yuri fans, as the cast of the romance is nearly all female (the only major male character cross-dresses). Fans of lesbian slice of life stories, rejoice, for your day has come in the form of Sasameki Koto!

Fairy Tail begins streaming on October 12th, in every country in the world but Japan, while Sasameki Koto is only available in the Americas and the Oceania region starting on Wednesday, October 7th.
