I'm shocked!

I really wasn't expecting the show to be this good! I kept seeing the trailer on TV and finally decided to sit down and watch the whole first season; and I absolutely loved it! I loved the way they had all the action, but added all the light-hearted comedy with the scenes at the Nerd-Herd, and the dim-witted best friend Morgan... not to forget 'Captain Awesome'!! Finally I'd just like to add: Sarah is HOTTT!!!

I wasn't completely sold by the ads either and watched it on Sidereel. I loved it and went through the entire first series in a couple of days. I will watch it next time on TV - BUT - sometimes I wonder if we're doing our fave series a favour using Sidereel. With everything so ratings focussed, and series being cancelled on a whim, isn't watching it on Sidereel just putting nails in the coffin of TV because it doesn't count towards the ratings?I don't know if I'm explaining what I mean very well - does anyone else think we might be spoiling our own favourite shows?

Maybe, be some programmes you can only get on sidereel, I'm from england and they only start showing seasons about a year after they've been shown in USA. I can't wait that long!!! Only trouble is that by the time my friends see it I've already seen the entire season. It's hard to keep my mouth shut.Chuck was great!!! I never thought it would be good either, but its entertaining. I hope season 2 is as good as season 1. By the way, if you like Chuck, you'll love Reaper.

I guess I don't completely understand the whole ratings system. Can they somehow tell when people are watching their show? Do satellite or cable equipment somehow broadcast just what information is passing through the dish/cable? Or do they find out through other means?

i agree with you guys! hadnt expected the show to be so good at first, judging by the ads and trailers. but i eventually watched the show and loved it :) first few episodes were okay, but the show definitely picked up around the 3rd or 4th episode. and its only getting better

I'm in the same situation as AnnieB cos I'm watching this in England.. I was going to order the DVD box-set, but I didn't want to risk it in case I didn't like the show. And to answer your question Poocho, yes data gets transmitted from a TV to the TV channel, and then to the network broadcasting the show, and that's how ratings are calculated... and that's also how they can find out if you have paid your TV license. The only way TV shows benefit on the internet is if you buy an episode on iTunes, buy a box-set from Amazon or wherever, or if you watch the show on their network's website.

myu, you have to watch a couple more episodes. the beginning is funny but, as you said, childish, but the plot thickens. (Especially towards the end)
