I feel empty

So i just watched the new show caprica. Part of me is annoyed because we all know what's going to happen, but i live in hope that there will be something new added to the story. I don't know time travel? Ok the back story of the one true god and the cylons is interesting but in the end we know that all the colonels are going to be destroyed. Perhaps they might introduce something that might merge the two shows, past present and future? I still don't like the idea of all that technology and knowledge being lost. There needs to be allot more action.

one could say that we knew all along how it would end on BSG. The writers told us point blank, "all this has happened before and it will happen again". We all kept watching till the very end. I don't mind knowing how it ends, but I sure do look forward to how we get there.

I agree with jackie I want to see how we get there. Besides the fact that there are all of these different colonies and some of them are off world, all of the cool technology in a civilization at its height; how can you not want to watch that?
I dont know about you but I want a frakking holoband!!

maybe caprica and the other colonies were never destroyed, maybe everybody put on a holoband and were all tied in to a massive virtual world, like a collective conscience. And all the events that happened on bsg were events that happened in the holoband virtual world, but something happened that caused people to not wake up and stay trapped in the holoband world, but they didnt know they were trapped and accepted the virtual world as real.

Knowing how it ends is only a small part of things. By going back to the beginning we get to answer so many questions we've had along the way. For example: When did the Cylons first rebel and what was it that pushed them over the edge? Was there any attempt to reason with the Humans? Did any Cylons side with the Humans? How was the Cylon home world established?
I also find the new elements of the show quite intriguing, like the destain between the colonies (dirt eaters?). The fact that the Cylons got thier religious beliefs from the Humans is pretty crazy. I'm also dying to find out more about Joseph Adama and the bad asses (assassins) he rolls with.
I hope my thoughts help you feel less empty about Caprica. So say we all.

I thought it was FANTASTIC and I can't wait for the series. I thought it was different enough to stand alone, but had enough there to pique your interest. Superb.

haha bosscain's scenario sounds a lot like matrix :P
The holobanding is carried on to humanoid cylons through their ability to project (not really connected and im definitely not promoting his idea but it is something to look at)

in Vatican city a new pope is ordained,he is brought to the inner most vault. In side sits a strange metal thing with a red glow in the centre of its head, in its hand is the book of pihea and the story of cobal and the 12 tribes of man and of how they came to be 150,000 years ago.It tell him the story of the cylons and of man, and of the cylon called Jesus who spread the news of the one true god. now that would be an ending to battelstar !!!

I don't mind that all technology and all knowledge gets lost.
I LIKE that destruction. I love this show and how people is portraited in it. People who destroy people because one or several gods. People that brin machines to life by anger and not by love.
It's sad, but that's the way we are. And the god or gods, our worst invention, won't help to stop all of it.
